05 Liberty engine replacement options

I have a 2005 Jeep liberty I’m looking to replace the engine I was wondering what years are compatible for a drop in

Easiest is any Chrysler 3.7 from 2005 to 2012, treat it like a long block swap and move over all the existing sensors and hardware like intake and oil pan. I found only a couple of sensors were different 2006 to 2012.

I believe on the newer year blocks a hole must be tapped for your Power steering pump bracket. The hole is there but not used. Here is a list of available donors. But stay 05 and newer so you don't have to swap the reluctor rings. Which would require removal of the crank.
