Hello
long time reader, first time poster

my wife's 04 liberty sport comes with the stock 215 wranglers. She complains they suck. No traction, skidding etc. The tire dealer says that the Goodyear is the only tire in that size.
My question is.....,
can we get the 235 tires without messing anything up (******, abs etc)?
If we can only get 215, what brand for about $100 per tire.

Thanks

245/70 *may* rub depending on the tread edge

If you have a specific tire in mind use the search feature. Check out the reviews of the Firestone Destination.

Screw Goodyear! I would go somewhere else. Check out a Firestone retailer. The Firestone Destination A/T tires are amazing. Highly rated in all categories. Check out the various Destination A/T threads.

Whoa there....I agree that the Wrangler ST's are pretty awful, but I recently put on the Goodyear Silent Armors and they are nothing short of awesome!!

mine came stock with 235-70s so those work and so will 245-70s with very minor rub when backing and wheels at full lock.
For a DD only tire , the Destination ATs are a good all around tire

A 235-70-16 inch tire fits without any problems...
BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO in a 235-70-16 inch tire!
That would be a good choice as well.

Whatever you buy, go back to the person you bought the Liberty from and ask him if his eye's are brown...
If he asks why?
Tell him that he's so full of **** that his eye's are brown!:D

DUDE DON'T BUY JUNK, BUY DIFFERENT JUNK INSTEAD

235/70-16 is a good size with lots available, and so is 225/75-16.

225//75-16 is where you will have the bulk of your trucky tires, but there are man tires available in 235/70-16.

If this rig sees no off road, ThunderbirdJunkie would recommend the BFG Long Trail Tour.

Don't get Firestones. Gross. Eww. Might as well drive around on the rims.
Or keep the current Goodyears.

Also, don't be afraid of Goodyears...remember, they had to make a tire to the price point Chrysler wanted for these things, and they did. Ultra cheap and ******, but it was at their price point and that is the reason they're on there, and not some Forteras or something else good that Goodyear makes.
