04 Jeep Liberty tail lights

Hello, I just changed the bulbs in my jeep liberty. I noticed that the lower half of the bottom circle had no bulb. I looks like there is room for another light. I only had 3 light bulbs in the back of the tail light. 1 brake taillight, 1 turn signal, and 1 reverse. Did they ever have 4 bulbs and they took one out to reduce cost? That is my question. Thanks in advance and any help would be appreciated.

You only have 3 bulbs, if you had an export model then 4 .

Export Models to Europe are required to have what is called the Rear Fog Lamp under UN Regulation 48. Rear fogs are not required in the US since it does not adhere to NCAPP or signed the ''Harmonization of Vehicles'' Program back in the 50's if I remember right where pretty much the US and Canada are their own market while the world is a near laterally unified market minus the few countries that are RHD.
