So I've got and 04 and a little bit of background, we haven't had any problems with it but on a trip to florida we had a caliper lock up. Had it changed and now that we're back if we drive about 30 miles the front brakes lock up and we can't go anywhere. I am stumped, i didn't think there was anyway that it be calipers on the front? Then I looked it up and looks like its a problem with a lot of them. We're bleeding them now and we just took off the master cylinder cover and the rubber had a hole in it. Would that suck air in there and lock them up? Not sure but just wanted to make sure from you guys if it was a common problem if it had a common fix. Couldn't get any answers from the other forums. Thanks for any input!

Well to help your problem make shore the slider that the brake pads glide on are greased up good both front and back. Also you should make shore that the in side of the pin boots that are on your calipers are greased and move free, you should use dielectric grease for the pin boots. Also clean your brake caliper sliders and pin boots before you grease them.

I went through something similar last year on my old Camry. Right front brake would lock up in warm weather or after driving a lot.

A couple of things come to mind. 1. The brake hose is acting like a one way valve due to the insides of the rubber line breaking down. 2. Faulty master cylinder. In my case it was the master cylinder.
