02/03 KJ Exhaust Y Pipe

Hi All. My 02 KJ's front Y pipe is looking a little shabby, but mostly my rear cat is protruding at a odd angle down at the center of the chassis (which I attribute to being lifted). I'd absolutely love a new magnaflow system but they don't offer a CARB approved version for 2002 (different engine family than 03+). Anyone have experience getting a new front Y pipe fabricated at a shop? If so, what type of material did you use - T409? Aluminized steel???
