tjkj2002 when will you be fitting your new "bits"

i have been looking under trucks lately, and i notice that all the new onces save the wrangler and defender have IFS or even all round IS. some of these vehicles eg new LR discovery or landcruiser have awsome off road prowess. so my question is why is ours so poor? we all want a SFA but why...

how does it function? by this i meen do you use the standard lever to engage it or does it need its own lever/switch?

members advised me to get a locking rear diff, i dont want to have a compresor/tank so it cant be an ARB? which one and why?

in 4lo in snow i was on full lock and the jeep was tring to jump and hop but would not drive?? why???

prices over here for optimas are in excess of 250 pounds so i went for an exide ultra 12v75A for only 88pounds. time will tell anyway

whats the best suited battery for a 3.7 kj i like to use the heated seats while the engines not running so somthing with a little more than the original equipment is needed

my 02 has done 56000miles without ever having a service. its had the ball joints replaced on recall and needed a new battery in 07 but thats it. original fluids, sarkplugs everything.

actualy they will put it in a kj as well i have been in touch with dan, thats my intention when the SFA kits are ready.

burnsville can put a 6.1v8hemi in a kj so im sure they could help

what does a SFA involve? i think its the diff catching whilst driving along the tracks and there are large rocks juting out which couild do damage. are you saying that a locker it strong enough to resist scraping over them in 2002 we had 9' but not in drifts, its constant all th way...

kj04 i would love some, i have them on the quad but the price for them on a jeep is to expencive when u factor in that they would need the same component upgrades ar big tyres= diffs, steering rods&pump ect
