I just ran and checked real quick to make sure of some things. My interior lights come on when I pull the rear gate handle only to the first click (opening just the glass) All lights come on, not just cargo area.

The only thing I can come up with is to take off your covers and cut out the round part and figure out a way to fit some lexan on there instead. Might make the light pattern behave a little bit differently.

I totally understand... To each his own. Anyone ever tried the cheap in channel ones on fleabay? Much cheaper than the mopar ones, just dunno about quality.

I think the general consensus is that the in-channel ones are better. My only gripe is that with the in-channel they dont get the whole rear window. I know, it's petty but I just like the look better of the deflector covering the whole window.

I'm pretty sure that the problem is mostly with too much heat when towing due to excessive up/downshifting because it can't hold it's speed with the extra weight. So like basically if you were towing up a hill the trans would downshift, once speed is reached, it would then upshift to OD gear...
