Took it to another local mechanic. It was just the top strut mount bushing. It was worn so the strut was just rattling around.

I will try that. We just inspected the bushings, but didn't tighten those.

OK, I had a friend take a look at it. Struts show no signs of being "done", no evidence of leaks (past or present). Took a look at all the bushings, and all appear to fine--no excessive deterioration and the bolts are nicely centered in the bushings themselves (no slop). Took it for a test...

I had an OME lift put on in Jan '08: Med springs front and rear and NS131 struts up front and the 132L in the rear. I took it to a mechanic (read stealership) to investigate a squeaking noise (like rubber on rubber, bushing??) and clunk sound that had developed in the driver side strut area...

Well it will for the front as the taller springs will push the arms down raising the clearance under the front diff. Extreme example is the VW Touaregs with independent air suspension that car raise clearance by 5 inches...

It runs like a top. It had plugs done about 30,000 KM ago. I have a amsoil air filter, and I've kept up with all the maintenance (changed tranny and diff fluids, etc). I have all the skids too. I guess I'm just unlucky :)

With that size of tire you are still getting 18 mpg US (that's like almost 22 mpg imperial)? I wish....I have stock tires and can barely get that much. I can't get past 350 KM on a full tank </thread jack>

I talked with a tech from BDS suspension and he mentioned that the spring rates for the 2" lift, are 450 lbs for the front, and 210 lbs for the rear. Doesn't this seem like a huge difference? I thought Rusty's coils were like around 300 lbs all over and the OME are 350 +lbs.
