    Lift for 2wd.

Hi, My wife's ride is a 2007 2wd Limited - the front springs are pretty sagged and the ride is very rough. I'd like to replace the stock springs and shocks with an OME medium duty set up. Will the kit designed for the 4wd version work? Any caveats for the 2wd installation? I'm not...

    Post Your Wrangler Photos!

Thanks for the nice comments Matt, Thanks for the kind comments. I agree with you - solid axle is the best. I can't wait to get this thing off-road. Gene

    Post Your Wrangler Photos!

New JK March 16, 2011 Let's see if I can attach this. I traded my 6 spd Liberty today for a new Wrangler. There was nothing wrong with the Liberty - I had developed problems in the left knee, so shifting became painful. The new Wrangler is a Sport, auto, with towing package.

    Need some KJ/Wrangler forums

Hi! I need some links for some good Wrangler/JK forums as I just purchased a burnt orange metallic new Wrangler 2 dr. this afternoon. I traded in my 6 spd KJ. My wife still has her 2007 KJ auto so I still will participate in the KJ forum. After 50 yrs. of driving stick shift, bone spurs in...

Window repair warranty extended for 06 & 07 KJs!

I posted back on Jan. 4 about my 2007 KJ 6spd. Tonite I'm driving my wife's 2007 KJ auto, driver's side window goes pop! This is getting old fast, one a month. I know, do it right, do the Steiger replacement at a non-Chrysler body shop. 2 vehicles = 8 windows = major pain in the A$$! I...

2007 KJ, which brake lines for OME lift?

Hi, I've been reading a lot before I lift my 2007 KJ 4wd, and now the question about new brake lines and/or extension has come up. I plan to do OME HD springs/OME shocks. JBA has these brake line extensions and they're not cheap...

    Jack,Scissor,Bottle,HighLift or What?

Where place bottle jack for front end? OK, bottle jack is easy for the rear - under the axle. But where is the jacking point for the front without doing damage to the underbody? Thanks. Gene

To "build" my KJ or not - at a cross roas

Gonna build it Well, thanks for the comments. I actually went to both the Jeep and GMC dealers to see what kind of deal I could get on the Wrangler and GMC respectively. Turns out, not too good, 'cause neither one wanted to take the 6 spd manual KJ in on a trade. I did drive the Wrangler...

    255/70 x 16 on OME lift

Hi! As indicated in my post in the general section, I'm about to start to work on modifying my 2007 Jeep Liberty 6 spd. The lift will be the OME springs/shocks. For tires I'm thinking 255/70 x 16 Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armors. Any problem with clearance on stock steel wheels? Currently...

To "build" my KJ or not - at a cross roas

I'm at a crossroads here - whether to "build" my 2007 KJ into an offroad vehicle, or plunk down some change and buy something new with more ground clearance and skids. Plans for the KJ include OME suspension, UC arms, brake lines, skids, tow hooks, and some off-road tires - maybe we're looking...

Window repair warranty extended for 06 & 07 KJs!

Spoke too soon - another regulator just popped I spoke too soon. No sooner had I received the extended warranty and posted above, then the front passenger regulator just popped as I was raising the window. Warranty or not, this is not a lot of fun. This is about the 4th regulator that has...

Window repair warranty extended for 06 & 07 KJs!

Received my extended window warranty in the mail today Received two extended warranty coverages in the mail today - have two KJ's - 2007 Sport 4wd 6 spd for me, and 2007 Limited 2wd auto for Mrs. We have previously replaced five regulators, all covered by original warranty or dealer, but I had...

One option you wish you had...

Skids/tow hooks Bought my KJ new in 2007 - Sport 4wd manual shift. Skids and tow hooks should be standard equipment on a 4wd vehicle. Now I have to track down the parts and install them. As is, I only do light 4-wheeling; I'll have to wait for the skids/hooks for the rough stuff.

    Window regulator blues!

Update - window and glass were replaced free of charge. Still, I'm a little concerned for the future. We own two KJ's, that's 8 windows, hope everything holds. Gene

    Window regulator blues!

It worked! It worked! Don Johnson Chrysler/Jeep in Brownsville, Texas called Chrysler and got the OK. Since it's pouring tropical rain here, we left the vehicle with them as they had to order parts/glass. The rear windows are tinted so I will wait and see if the new glass is also. Again...

    Window regulator blues!

Hi! The rear window regular on mi wife's lightly used (only 13,000 miles) 2007 KJ Limited suddenly gave up. Of course, the warranty expired three weeks ago. So, what am I looking at - a trip to the dealer and $200? It's not the first one to go, but the others were covered by warranty...

Extended bumpstops instead of hockey pucks for OME lift?

Why OME 132L shocks need bumpstops and 132 don't? Why would the OME 132L require the longer bumpstops and the 132 do not? Do the OME 132L permit more wheel travel? I'm in the process of researching suspension kits for my 2007 KJ and I've been reading every one of these posts to gather as...

Extended bumpstops instead of hockey pucks for OME lift?

Hi Budke, Yes, I saw your how to, and I'm trying to locate some hockey pucks. South Texas is about the same as Florida, not a lot of hockey here. Your post was quite helpful and now I have an idea of what needs to be done. Gene

Extended bumpstops instead of hockey pucks for OME lift?

Hi, Another lift question. I need to get all the info. before I start. I'm planning on OME lift - 927 springs front, 948 rear, no additional isolators, spacers, etc. Daystar has an extended bumpstop for the rear: http://www.daystarweb.com/productdetail.php?productID=351 Can I use...
