Boblemouche, that looks really nice. One question though. In you signature line it says you have 4.56 gears. How did you manage that? I thought the KKs still had the D30a which is limited to a 4.10 gear at best.
JeepinAl over at LOST is working with Tom Woods on a slip yoke eliminator for the Liberty. He is also building his own custom 5" lift. That is why he needs the SYE. He's supposed to be working on the lift this week so he'll have more info on the SYE soon. Check out his website...
I've been in water just over the headlights with no seepage around the doors. The only problem I had was that the water was kinda muddy and clogged my radiator to the point where I nearly overheated.
That's a nice looking install. But I have one important question. What will you do if you ever get stuck (offroad or just in the snow somewhere) and need to be pulled out from the front? You can't still mount tow hooks in there can you?
Just to level out the front, you would want to do a clevis adjustment. Instructions for this are on the LOST boards under the tech section. A spacer would be too much lift. For the front, the amount of lift gained is approximately twice as much as the adjusment to the strut mount.
Was the e-brake set? I made that mistake once. Didn't realize why it wasn't accelerating much then I looked down and noticed the handle up. Quickly disengaged it and sped up immediately.
Now if their going to put that thing out front of the factory with MTRs on it then they should sell them with MTRs. Otherwise that's false advertising.
Well, here's my story. May 2003,dark and stormy night, cruising down the highway in my 97 Saturn. Idiot in an El Camino cuts across three lanes of traffic with no turn signal or warning of any kind. Saturn totaled. But because of the low mileage, the insurance paid me over $6000 for the loss...
glove box
I had to remove mine to do my cb install. To remove it: open as far as normal, then slide to left and pull down to disconnect the rest of the way. It just pops out. reverse the process to install. Make sure it's empty first or you'll dump everything on the floor in the procees.
I thought I read somewhere that it was called Cherokee in Europe because some French manufacturer makes a car called a Liberty and they didn't want confusion or copyright hassles.
rear hidden hitch
When I installed my rear hidden hitch, I also installed my gas tank skid which both use the same bolts. As I recall they were all 19mm. The hardest one to tighten was the one on the passenger side towards the front. It wuld be easier if you can let the wheel droop while...
next mods
When I get my KJ back from the body shop, the next mod will be boulder bars. I'm gonna start saving for the rock krawler lift though. maybe use some of my tax refund next year too. And hopefully All J will have the bumper in production by then too. I really could of used that when...
