What did you do to your jeep today?

Cheers, well to be honest I haven't done much to the seat fabrics since owning this vehicle, I think I have the previous owner to thank for their current state. I have used some spray fabric cleaner from the local auto store. Otherwise I have read mixing baking soda and water can help.

What did you do to your jeep today?

I gave the KJ a lil evening 'detail'. Pics taken in the garage at night so excuse the slight low-light...

Clunk sound hunting - after some wheeling

So I recently got a lift installed by a fairly reputable shop. For the front they did new lower BJs, new inner control arm bushes, new UCAs and BJs, coils and struts. No issues initially, no sounds etc, until I went on a wheeling trip, and got up into some sand tracks that put some twist on the...

    Rear bump stop advice sought

Cheers, although I don't do much towing my main fear is not having enough extended bump stop and going over some uneven terrain and either blowing out a shock or hyper extending a brake hose

    Rear bump stop advice sought

Cheers, yep fingers crossed here I had a shop do the lift install so no chance of doing it myself unfortunately, and unlikely they would have done it (to be fair to them I never mentioned/requested they fit any extended bump stops in the first place though)

    Rear bump stop advice sought

Thanks Tom, I'm using Sikaflex 291 to keep them in place. This stuff seems very good bond-wise. It's marine grade so water proof and vibration resistant. Fingers crossed... I read about using a nut and bolt but I can't readily access the spring perch at present to properly drill a hole...

Thanks Gyro. I added the 2nd puck (total 2" high now) and it's looking good imo Cheers

    Rear bump stop advice sought

I know people are suggesting 2" of extended bump stop for a 2" lift but it seems a bit much to me? See pics below. Each 'door stop' is 1" high. One or two? Any advice much appreciated Thanks

    My 2006 KJ 'Cherokee'

Thanks Tom, no mod bump-stops at all... :( but I'll look into the hockey puck idea as I've seen on this forum...and see about fronts (Teraflex or similar) Good to hear vibes aren't common, after the commute this morning u joints were bit warm but not overly so? I'll get a booking with a...

    My 2006 KJ 'Cherokee'

Second round of pics lol... Lower inner front control arm bushes, lower front ball joints and new UCAs with ball joints were also done as part of this lift.

    My 2006 KJ 'Cherokee'

The shocks were included as part of the whole 'lift kit' as offered for sale online by a parts store, so I can only hope so...they are 'Webco' branded shocks which aren't the best from what I hear, and have a bit of a shaky reputation in years gone, but on the whole, I think they have been...

Is fan speed '1' meant to spin the blower motor?

Thanks guys :) Yep I'd already located it, and it does seem like a very simple repair procedure indeed. Thanks for the info

    My 2006 KJ 'Cherokee'

Definitely not a spacer kit :) This is a quality set of coils by an Australian manufacturer known as 'Lovells'. They do coils and leafs and shocks for a large range of vehicles in Australia and have some great reviews. Looking forward to having these fitted. They are 'medium duty' coils but...

Is fan speed '1' meant to spin the blower motor?

Good idea. I guess having no real '4' is no big loss either as it's rather too much air through the vents Hmm, I think given all this, I may just leave mine be for the time being for the 'ram air' effect (on the currently inoperable '1' setting) and just make sure the A/C isn't on. When the...

Is fan speed '1' meant to spin the blower motor?

Yeah I had thought that too; the way Jeep has it makes sense; but I guess I'm just used to cars that have 0 as a fan setting but still allow you to set a upper/lower vent option and have 'ram air' effect at speed.

Is fan speed '1' meant to spin the blower motor?

Well that kinda confirms my initial suspicions now  Interesting...thanks :)

Is fan speed '1' meant to spin the blower motor?

Thanks, I think I'll leave it be for the time being then. Interesting there is no 0 setting for the fan, but there is 0 setting for the vent mode so I guess that does the job Thanks for the link all the same though; will definitely keep in mind, especially at that price!

Is fan speed '1' meant to spin the blower motor?

Apologies if this has been brought up before, but I couldn't see anything specific to speed '1' so far. Only for the higher speeds On my Jeep, fan speed 1 does nothing. Perhaps my resistor card is on the way out...
