Clutch time / Flywheel info /Dakota swap

Have not posted in a while. Have a 3.7 with the NV3500, looks like my throw out bearing is bad. Loud clicking sound in neutral. Push clutch in and it goes away. ??? Could be a few other things as well. Clutch is slipping and a large amount of “lash” when engaging and a loud “thud”. I’d like to...

    H&R Spring Review

I assure you there was a few cardboard templates made and many test fits to get it right. But yes the idea is not original. Somebody on a FB group had a photo of one they cut out by hand. I knew JBA made one but couldn’t find any photos online.

    H&R Spring Review

Thanks read that now. Standard yellow Bilstein in the front. Seems to be holding up quite well. Previously KYB gas-a-adjust in the rear. They rode well. Just wanted some extra weight carrying capacity with the Monroe. My setup is modified, I run a CNC cut spacer plate for the top of the shock...

    H&R Spring Review

Where did you get that information from ? They are a bit stiffer than stock but not a lot… mine ride great. I have messed with the rear by adding spring assist shocks Monroe ? A part number I got from this forum. When I loaded the back for a trip the rear would squat. Approx 200 lbs of cargo...

OH dear did it this time

Have been contemplating between the Grabber ATX and Wildpeak AT3/w. My BFG KM3 are a handful here in the winter. So looking forward to a good snow review.

New Wheels and old. Summer 2021

Did a mid summer tire change. Started getting into some heavier than intended 4x4. Met a couple other people and my “Soft Roading” turned into exploring some pretty old and decommissioned FSR. New setup is 245/75/16 BFG “KM3” replaces my barely used P rated 265/60/16 Goodyear Adventure. More...

First post suspension related .... and a question.

Yes the rear trailing arms are completely shot. As soon as the bar went back on the car handles very well. The “floatiness” is gone. I have read a few times here that is a common problem. Being that is instantly goes away, there is no doubt that is the issue. The front alignment is due to a...

First post suspension related .... and a question.

A minor update. It has been about 2 months. Front end alignment was a disaster. Cannot seem to get passenger side camber correct or castor (very close though) Assuming something is bent at this point. Going to go to another shop that will put some more effort into it. I levelled the front...

    265/70/16 on steel wheels ? 2.5” lift

Here is the final setup: So when jacked up (tires off the ground) control arms just graze the inner sidewall. Also discovered what I think is a bad wheel bearing. Either than that no contact lock to lock. Will probably need different rims or very small spacers. Have about 5-7mm clearance to...

    265/70/16 on steel wheels ? 2.5” lift

These are the Steel wheels in question: no offset or backspacing info stamped on them, assuming same as all KJ liberty? Also have found a set of 16”x7 ZJ Wheels, not sure if the offset is different? I’m pretty sure the tires will be really close to the upper control arm.

    265/70/16 on steel wheels ? 2.5” lift

I unfortunately missed out on a set of Moab wheels. Still looking... So I am left with Stock OEM 16x7 steel wheels. Will these accommodate this rubber (265/70/16) I have a set of takeoffs from another vehicle (less than 20 km’s) Goodyear wrangler adventure/ Kevlar. Goodyear says good on a 7”...

Also pounded the pinch welds flat to make sure rubbing will be less of an issue.

First post suspension related .... and a question.

Thank you for sharing the file. Unfortunately this is my busiest time of the year, so slow progress and large family to balance.... So a quick update: Changed most fluids: -Motor oil/filter 5w-30 Synthetic and Baldwin filter -Front Diff w/Dino -Rear Diff w/Dino and modifier. Rear diff is a...

First post suspension related .... and a question.

These rings where found in the FRONT suspension when the factory coil over was taken apart. They where compressed between the upper isolator and the mount. All factory parts. The rear is unrelated to these photos. The rear isolator adapter will be machined to fit between two factory rubber...

First post suspension related .... and a question.

Please share your bad experiences. I am open to suggestions. As far as custom machining parts. I have that side of things more than covered. I am trying to source the front bump stops locally. Here are a few pictures of these rings, have you seen them before ?

First post suspension related .... and a question.

An introduction: 2002 “Pre-lowered” manual transmission Liberty sport 4x4 sagged down to 17.5” front 18.5” rear. All stock zero modifications. So after many hours of reading I settled on a configuration that will hopefully work for me. I know everyone here swears by OME products but the cost...
