In the end the beads just didn't work for me, not for those tires, they were just too unevenly worn and old. I put new tires on it yesterday and they balanced fine with weights. Wasn't happy about spending a grand on new tires for a wrangler that's about to get a for sale sign :(
every time i...
I had an old explorer that would cut out if i put brakes on going downhill. the wire to crank sensor would shift forward and short out on a pulley and the truck would shut down. no codes.
I'm currently experimenting with beads on the 35's on my wrangler. I put the recommended 8oz but ended up needing 14oz in each to tame them. I would not mix bead types but not sure if there is a legit reason not to.
I like those. I had been contemplating making a set too. Really would like to make a bracket like JBA does for the upper mount on differential so could have adjustable upper and lower
where in SC are you located? Also, a blown head gasket is almost always the symptom of another problem so you may want to find out why it blew so it will not do it again. I've had probably a good 10 of these 3.7's apart and the job isn't horrible.
Have had several of these also, never had injector issue. if it's preventative you are after then there's other known weak spots on these, oil pressure sender, valve cover gaskets, thermostat seal, etc.
do you have a hand vacuum pump? sounds like next step would be to disconnect in engine bay where vacuum line comes through with heater core hoses and try to apply vacuum, that will tell you for sure if the leak is inside dash area.
Sounds like the one I tried. Just would not work without cv boot getting hit. I had to hack mine apart and rebuild it to 1" then use clevis spacers to get it the rest of way. Mr. Mudd is correct, the spacers aren't worth it and when my budget allows I will be going spring lift.
yeah i probably would be. but every liberty i've looked at with heavy duty cooling the electric fan had different wiring. I think mine is a three wire connection and heavy duty has two wires.
