I need to identify the gear ratio in my Jeep.
After poking around underneath, I only found a pair of small gauge wires that are plugged into a connector on the top of the differential but, an ID tag is nowhere to be found. My Libby has a 7/04 build date and the VIN tells me -zero- about the...
The LED headlights are a matter of preference.. I happen to like the light and cooler white color - mine are not the blue / purple color I see on some vehicles. I spent time to make sure I got lamps that would shine in a pattern that closely resembled the halogen bulbs (the location and...
My Western Suburbanite Plow is very light (I'd guess it to be ~200 lbs) and is only on the Jeep for less than a couple of days (only during a snow storm) at a time. The plow frame is obviously permanently attached and weighs under 50 lbs; so I'm not really concerned about the stress on the front...
I got my 05 Libby Renegade from a coworker last year for $500. It had 135k highway miles on it. He put some dough into it - but it had been idled for over a year b/c he bought a new car and he was going to donate it. I bought it for the cost he incurred insuring it. I paid sales tax on the...
So - the saga continues. I now own 3 different EVIC with different numbers - all of which supposedly will "work' in my Liberty. Two of them do, as long as I don't mind a double dash (-- F) for temperature.
The most recent one - 56010438AD - from an 04 Liberty solved the "-- F" temperature...
I've seen the charts for compatible EVIC devices - but none go past '04 ( I have an '05). I have seen that part numbers 56010520AE, 56010520AA, etc. are all used in an '05 - but there's no detail on the differences between them.
Even more perplexing, I see people selling EVICs that they...
Hi -
I got an EVIC on ebay and installed it in my '05 Liberty. This was by no means a "simple" task. My front dome light simply clipped to the headliner only - there was no cup-like receiver with slotted openings to secure the EVIC with its clips (or a place for the screw). I had to get one...
Found & fixed!
Thanks for the replies!
I found (by accident) that it was caused by the factory Stereo / CD Player. Ugh! I had replaced it with a JVC stereo w/ BT and USB connections before I jumped into searching for the source of the power drain.
It appears I was too impatient...
My head hurts. I just got an '05 KJ and I've been reading and searching both here and other sites - trying to figure out what I need to upgrade to an EVIC. I have keyless entry in my KJ, so I understand that I have a BCM that supports the EVIC. So far, so good!
I have TPMS on alloy wheels...
Hi - I'm resurrecting this post as opposed to starting a new one - for now anyway. I just got an '05 Liberty that suffers from this popular phenomenon. I have just under 2000mA draw on my battery that originates in JB. Fuse #3 is responsible for ~200mA of it and #34 has ~1700mA balance...
