    Stock Suspension Upgrade (No Lift)

Got everything ordered. Was able to find everything on Amazon. Thanks so much for your help! And thanks everyone for the help too! May be a bit before everything comes in and I can get it installed. We are getting hit with yet another hurricane. Gotta love living in Louisiana.

    Stock Suspension Upgrade (No Lift)

Oh and apparently the bellow is to cover the shock and keep dirt from getting in the shock. Probably not necessary since my current ones don’t have one. I will need new mounts I’m assuming? The mounts I found were Moog and Sachs as the higher end ones. Couldn’t find any Bilstein ones.

    Stock Suspension Upgrade (No Lift)

My bad. I saw the shock inside the spring and assumed it was a strut. For some reason RockAuto calls it a strut in their parts list. I’ll look around somewhere other than Rocky Road for the OME springs. Thanks for all the help! Spending more but was able to convince the Supreme Dictator that I’m...

    Stock Suspension Upgrade (No Lift)

So I’ve updated my RockAuto with Bilstein 4600 rear shocks and front struts along with Sachs strut mounts and bellows. I’m assuming Sachs is a good brand for those as I couldn’t find any Bilstein ones. Where would you recommend I get the OME springs? So far Rocky-Road has been the cheapest...

    Stock Suspension Upgrade (No Lift)

So I looked on RockAuto.com and found a set of front and rear KYB but there are no rear KYB springs. Would Moog work well enough?

    Stock Suspension Upgrade (No Lift)

My Liberty has 105000 miles on it and it’s on the stock suspension. It’s been bottoming out on even the smallest pothole so it’s time to replace the suspension. My question is: Do I need to replace springs too or just shocks and struts? There’s a 1-2” lower difference from stock specs. I’m...

    Engine Sputtering around 1500RPM?

I had a local high-quality mechanic shop do the replacement. They said they don't use aftermarket and only use OEM parts. I'll have to check to see if the coolant is orange or green, not sure what they used. Good thing is, the radiator has a lifetime warranty and they have a two year warranty on...

    Engine Sputtering around 1500RPM?

It has just shy of 97k miles on it now. I'm not sure about maintenance hisotry aside from what was on CarFax. It's in extremely good shape for its age. Had to replace the radiator shortly after I got it because of a small crack. I just bought it with about 95k miles on it about two months ago...

    Engine Sputtering around 1500RPM?

I haven't had my Liberty for very long and have been noticing that there's hesitation under light acceleration around 1500rpms and usually between 30mph-50mph. Once I'm over 2000RPM and 50mph, it goes away and no CEL or anything comes on. It also seems to not do it under heavy acceleration. I'm...

    Front Bump Stop Secure Enough?

I'd like to do a minimal lift someday, maybe after the tires need replacing. My main concern was I wasn't sure how much gap is supposed to be between the bump stop and the suspension. There's barely maybe 1.5 inches between the suspension and the bump stop.

    Front Bump Stop Secure Enough?

It's about 18". But I'm sure the suspension has sagged a bit since it was new.

    Front Bump Stop Secure Enough?

Also, how much space should be between the bump stop and the suspension? I've only got about 1.5 inches of gap. Doesn't seem like nearly enough, yet after my drive it doesn't seem like they even hit.

    Front Bump Stop Secure Enough?

Forgot to update this. Got both my bump stops in and cleaned out the hole they go in cleaned out real good with some grease cleaner. Put some silicon lube on the notches and jacked the Jeep up and with a 2x4, popped them in with a nice sounding thunk, which the last one didn't make. I've driven...

    Front Bump Stop Secure Enough?

I'm gonna get some good cleaner and clean out the hole it goes in. Maybe it has a small layer of rubber or grease keeping it from being completely secure. I really don't want to use any sort of adhesive if it doesn't require it.

    Front Bump Stop Secure Enough?

I'm still waiting on my second one. But the one I put in, I tugged at it a bit and it popped out, but the back two notches also tore. So now I have to order yet another one. I know what the bump stops are for, but are they necessary for basic driving? Are they merely there for extreme cases of...

    Front Bump Stop Secure Enough?

I just got my KJ Renegade a couple weeks ago and noticed the front right bump stop was gone and the left one tore apart when I checked it, so I ordered new ones. I just cleaned out the old rubber and grease as best I could, out some WD40 Silicone Lubricant on the bump stop and used a short...
