We bought some TJ Moab wheels for my teenage sons Liberty.
We had the tires removed in order to prep the wheels for paint.
Overall they are in good shape but do have some chips in a few places.
The question of the day is - do we strip the wheels of the old finish completely (using...
I just did the same thing this weekend since I had to remove the seats to dry out the carpet due to a leak.
What a pain just because they routed the recline cable through the seat base cover!

With either the weatherstripping or the caulk, did you guys remove the original foam?
It’s been rainy of Biblical proportions here in Texas and I have a wet cargo area and it is also wet under the passenger seat (but not in the foot well area up front).
The foam on my third brake light is...
Thanks everyone - mine doesn’t make any noise when braking or going over bumps so we can just chalk up the movement to good old Chrysler engineering...

While we are at it - which side does the paper gasket go on?
I assume on the side with the cap and not the side with the boot but I am just guessing at this point...
Reviving and old thread. I got a new rear CV for the front drive shaft from Detroit Axle.
You guys have a procedure for packing the CV? I want to do it properly so I do not prematurely blow it out!
Timely thread as I need to replace this bushing on my son's Liberty. We are working on the 2002 Liberty that we bought for my son that has 75k miles on it. We bought it in January and when test driving, I checked to make sure it shifted into 4wd high and low. It did as I could see the light...
Thanks - that is what I was thinking - that they should be fine with that mileage (although age makes them suspect). I haven’t heard any clunk when braking - but I haven’t been braking super hard either.
But some movement of the arms is normal? That is the big question.
Does the clunk...
I know this is an old thread but want to confirm this statement - "That fore and aft movement of the LCA mount bushings is 100% normal"
Would this movement affect the alignment?
In the pockets that the LCA sits in, I have 3 rub marks on the rear of each pocket where the 3 rubber...
Yes - we will be painting the Moab’s black. Too much silver on the Jeep now. Plus the stock finish has some chips in the finish.

I have to replace the high pressure line on my teenage son's KJ. It is a 2002 and has Power Steering fluid in it. With only 75K miles, I wouldn't be surprised if it was the original factory fill!
Does anyone know the correct way to "flush the system" before converting to ATF. Is there any...
All
I have to replace the high pressure line on the Liberty that we acquired for my son.
It is a 2002 and still has the original power steering Fluid in it (maybe not the "orginal" fluid since the hose has been replaced once before but you know what I mean - it has power steering fluid...
