A/C compressor pulley on 2004 Liberty

The A/C compressor pulley repeatedly starts and stops when the engine is running. From the driver's seat, I can hear the pulley starting and stopping. Is this normal or should it be replaced? Can I replace only the pulley or do I have to replace the entire compressor?

    Odometer problem?

When my 2004 Jeep Liberty hit exactly 59,000 miles, the odometer started making strange "ticking" sounds. It then seemed like forever for the odometer to turn over to 59,001 miles and then to 59,002 miles. I zeroed-out the trip-meter and, when it reached 1.0 mile, I switched to the odometer...

How to install Infinity Reference 6032cf speakers

I replaced the four OEM Infinity "premium" speakers with four new Infinity Reference 6032cf speakers. The speakers in the front-doors (not the rear doors) have attached amps which must be unscrewed and relocated within the doors. Some links said to remount the amps in the bottom corners of...

    How-to. Infinity speaker replacement.

Another suggestion is to mount the amps in the bottom corners of the front doors but I found that difficult to do so I mounted the amps below the speakers, as shown in the photos. Instead of using many washers, I used 1"-long spacers to get the amps to be parallel (not "cockeyed") to the windows.

The attached amps are on the front-door speakers (not on the rear-door speakers). I relocated the amps directly below the holes for the front-door speakers (not in the bottom-corners).

Relocating speaker amps in 2004 Liberty

I started with the FRONT doors. I relocated the amps DIRECTLY BELOW the speakers rather than in the BOTTOM CORNER of the doors (as shown in the photos at Car Audio Tips Tricks and How To's : Jeep Liberty With Infinity Sound System Front Speaker Replacement). I used a 7/8" spacer on each bolt...
