    Thermostat stuck closed?

OK, the used reservoir tank I bought looks awful. I see 2 small cracks in it, but not sure if this will effect it. Trying to figure out a way to pressure test it. I have a coolant pressure tester. Need to plug up the hose connections I guess. Otherwise, looks like uss2defiant was right about...

    Thermostat stuck closed?

OK, Now I'm almost 100% sure it's a faulty reservoir tank. I have a coolant pressure tester, and just went out to try something. I hooked up the tester, and started the car, thinking, if there is a blown head gasket, the pressure gauge should rise on it's own, without me pumping it up. It did...

    Thermostat stuck closed?

HELP! O4' with 167,000 miles on it. Noticed slight water pump leak at weep hole. Replaced it. A week or two later, found crack in radiator. Replaced it. Also new hoses and plastic reservoir tank. Kept smelling coolant though heater vents. Suspect heater core has a small leak. All was fine for...

    Ball joint problem/ question.

I was able to press out the old ball joint, and press the new one in using my 20 ton shop press. But it really took some ingenuity pressing the new one in. I used a short piece of steel rod that fit through the upper ball joint hole. It wasn't easy, but it worked.

    Front brake chattering

Replaced the ball joint. Still have same problem. Going to replace the wheel bearings next. Found the one a bit stiff and noisy.

    Front brake chattering

Hi, I can't seem to figure out this problem. The right front brake makes a loud clicking, chattering sound. It only happens on light braking, and stops when I apply more pressure, as I'm coming to a full stop. I already replaced "everything". And even tried different brake pads. The problem...

    Ball joint problem/ question.

I just realized, I will have the same problem. Also, is it possible to use my shop press to press the old joint out? I'm trying to avoid buying the removal tool, if I can. On a tight budget right now...

    P0139 code again

Well, I tried replacing the B1S2 O2 sensor. I couldn't get the other rear sensor loose. Immediately, I got a code saying the heater circuit on that sensor was bad. So I put the old sensor back in. Live data looks fine for all the O2 sensors. Just took a long drive, and it now has a pending P0139...

    P0139 code again

Still trying to figure out how to use the new scan tool. But it appears both rear oxygen sensors are not working. Voltages stay high constantly. Not going to run out a buy 2 new sensors yet. Need inspection, smog test soon. Please help?

    P0139 code again

04' with 163,000 miles. Replaced Oxygen sensor, problem went away for a year or so. Back on again. But I noticed a pattern, the check engine light, would come on every time I'd fill her with gas. After driving about 3 miles, every time! Going out now, with my new $200 diagnostic tool, to try...

    Front brake caliper Question

Left front brake clicking when braking at low speeds I've have so many problems with my front brakes. Seems like I have to fix them every few months. One thing I learned is not to buy cheap pads. The backing plate came loose and jammed in the caliper. Anyway, recently I kept hearing this...

Low side AC pressure very high

Compressor is running. I can get the interior temp down to about 80 degrees, running the engine at 2,000 RPM. When I turn off the engine, the low side reads over 120 PSI, the High side 150. The low side is still very high, with the engine running. PLEASE HELP! I still have everything hooked up...

Clunk coming from the back, when shifting

Yes, I believe that is whats worn. One of rubber bushings is shot. Looks like a big pain to replace it myself. I've been driving it that way all winter, and it's slowly getting worse. I'm waiting for warmer weather, to take another look at it. Guess I need to replace the entire thing?

Low side AC pressure very high

Thanks, but my Jeep has electric an electric fan. I tried replacing the pipe with the orifice tube inside it. Thinking perhaps it was clogged. That didn't help. The system seems to hold a vacuum fine. But it still wont seem to take more then a few ounces of refrigerant. My guess is the...

04' PCV tube broken at T fitting HELP

Thanks so much! I was worried, because the "valves" appeared to keep oil from being sucked into the air cleaner box. I had it installed for over a year now, with no problems.
