I did a self test on the EVIC and there were no failures noted. Just wondering if my BCM has issues. Has anyone else done a EVIC install, and if so did those options change anything?
Thanks. Passenger side had to lift the carpet and gently tenderize the drive shaft tunnel with a hammer . Only reason is on the old seat, those two mounting points are not connected back to front, on the new one the is metal connecting from front to back, hangs up a bit and there are wiring...
Right now I used the old seat belt buckle from old driver seat, but it's too long. For some reason the passenger one on the new one works fine. Going to install the 2012 buckle on the driver's seat and put the sensor under the seat and just make it think the seat belt is aways buckled
Just some info if anyone is interested in replacing their worn out front seats on their liberty. I have a 2002 limited and my leather seats were falling apart. Driver's side had torn leather, had to weld the frame in several places where it had cracked and the recline mech broke. So I found a...
I have a 2002 Jeep liberty limited. I had a factory OTIS overhead. I bought a 56042749AJ from a 04 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Installed and all works, be even temp sensor. Here's the issue. I get menu options to change different things about how the Jeep acts, like horn chirp when locking. But no...
Front drive shaft is currently out. Had to pull it to replace starter couple months back and left it out because the CV is bad. Jeep engineers made this way more difficult to work on than needed. Starter was a royal pain. Right now have to figure out how to get my front skid plate off. The front...
Front and rear suspension in the last couple weeks. Finally done with that, but as always more to do.
Front : upper control arms, coil spring and shock assemblys, sway bar links and lower ball joints.
Rear: upper control arm, lower control arms, springs and shocks.
What is involved in replacing the engine mounts on a 2002 liberty, 4wd 3.7? Do i have to drop the front differential? What i saw from the little info I could find is that i may have to remove the starter and should be able to jack up the engine using a jack and a block of wood. I really don't...
Thanks for the feedback. Was more concerned about the upper one. And sorry i meant they had issues with the bushings getting loose not tearing. But i think I'll be fine with nothing extra put into the bushings. Like i said no lift, all stock. Maybe they don't hold up well when off-roading.
Yeah on the forums, allot of people had issues with the bushings with the cutouts failing. The urethane was meant to strengthen and keep it flexible at the same time. Was wondering what the outcome was of this and if i should do this to help tighten everything up
I have a liberty with 210,000 miles and original upper and lower control arms. Both are shot. Upper is badly rusted. Ordered Moog problem solvers for lower and a MEVOTECH CMS25156 for upper. No lift on vehicle and no off roading. I have seen on this site that some recommend filling the holes in...
But without the clutch won't it just be on all the time, killing horsepower and fuel economy at anything above idle? I have seen people replace the clutch fan with upgraded one from a Chevy model i can't remember
My AC does fine up to 105, after that it struggles. I know that's hot but other cars are better. I still think it's not designed that well for higher heat. May try upgrades is future. Right now, no money lol thanks for the input
Funny you say that, but i do at times. Keep engine rpm at 1200 and cools down much faster. AC system was serviced and was ok. I just think it's not pulling enough air over condenser when not moving. Once moving AC is fine even at lower rpms. Seems like Chrysler knew it was an issue and thats why...
I was actually wondering if adding another electric fan would help. Or possibly replacing current electric fan with a higher airflow one and use an external fan controller
I have an 02 v6 liberty with hd cooling. Was wondering if anyone has upgraded their electric fan for a better performing one. My AC struggles to cool at idle, had the system checked out and all is fine. I'd like to get more airflow over the condenser to keep me cool at idle or low speed. Temps...
