    Possible Recall 2002-2007?

Think of it as less of a "hitch for free" and more of an "rear impact absorption brace with accessory carry hole". I wonder if they'd go to the expense of putting in the wiring - doubtful as it isn't necessary for the protection. I added an aftermarket hitch and wiring over 5 years ago and...

2006 skink super slider install questions

Yeah, I think so. On the top edge anyway. My interpretation of the instructions was the sheet metal screws would be used to secure the bottom edge of the panels, sort of compressing it a bit compared to normal. Once I had the plastic off I just decided to leave it that way so I never really...

2006 skink super slider install questions

I completely removed the plastic panels on my '05 and like the look. I haven't found a plug for the existing holes but they don't bother me at all. Not a very close shot, but here is what mine looks like from the side:

    Lift kit install turmoil

Don't fret, my wife didn't help at all other than making sure she could call 911 if the Jeep fell on me or something. A new strut probably costs a lot less than a divorce ;) I fought to get the compressor out the the one "tower" I did myself. I used 790 springs too, which might even be...

    Intermediate shaft and cv question

As I posted elsewhere, the replacement was a piece of cake and took under 90 minutes. I THINK the noise is gone but haven't had an extensive road test yet. Easy project if you've been under there recently!

Wubba wubba - is it a "hubba" "hubba"?

Did the passenger side today in under 90 minutes and the wubba wubba seems to finally be gone! Old intermediate shaft and right side cv axle came out with no problems and the new ones went in with no problems. I have only done a quick test but my Liberty seems much happier now! The entire...

    Cost of lift install?

Maybe the fronts were assembled without the isolaters? Can you get a picture of one side on the front without the tire on just so people can gawk and maybe spot something?

    Intermediate shaft and cv question

Thanks guys! Shaft is on order and will be here Wednesday, right hand side CV axle will be picked up today. Looking forward to hopefully finishing up this project by the weekend!

    Intermediate shaft and cv question

Sorry to bump this old thread but wanted to ask the OP and others - so the shaft may come right on out with the axle, my question is was it a tough removal or was a pry bar enough to pull the axle and shaft? The Chilton's makes it sound like it's going to take a slide hammer to get the shaft...

Wubba wubba - is it a "hubba" "hubba"?

Did the driver side today and it really wasn't horrible. It took a little over 90 minutes and I've never done one before so there was some extra wrestling. Note the how-to skips over removing the caliper and hanging it securely - I recommend doing this since the brake line could get yanked...

    Cost of lift install?

Strange the the front didn't end up taller in front. I would have thought you'd be closer to 23" on the front from what I understand. Did they not install the top plate or the clevis spacer or something?

    Cost of lift install?

About 5% different :D Actually, the 245/75 is going to get you about 1/2" taller / 1" more in the diameter if I am not mistaken. A 245/70 is going to about 245mm*.70=171.5mm tall in the sidewall A 245/75 is going to about 245mm*.75=183.75mm tall in the sidewall That's a 12.25mm...

Thanks, found the how-to after posting and it looks manageable.

Wubba wubba - is it a "hubba" "hubba"?

Back from the alignment following the OME / JBA UCA / hub replacement and it's wubba'ing worse than ever. So it wasn't the hub. And it ain't the alignment. Since it's worse now that I am back up to ~23" hub-to-flare, would that likely mean it's a CV axle or possibly the intermediate? If...

    Cost of lift install?

Good list here! A couple of additions / suggestions. Tools: At least two heavy duty floor stands, preferably 4 in case you need to change floor stand placement at some point, need to hold up something temporarily, need it for a leverage point, etc. Torque wrench: since some are 60 up to 110+...

    teraflex help

BUMP to this bump stop thread. Warmed mine in a toaster oven for 20 minutes at 150 degrees, used a little soap on the top, wedged a bar between the tire and the bump stop, and they popped in without too much effort. Good stuff!

    Pic request: OME 790 & 948 w/2 Iso's on a GASSER

Man that's a tough order! I'll share what I have that's close-ish. JUST completed with OME 790 springs on the front for the bumper, winch, and Hi-Lift, but I do have the top plate and clevis. Just 1 spare iso on the back each side with the 948's...

    Cost of lift install?

Having JUST done OME all around & the JBA UCA's myself, I will advise this way - do the rear and see how you feel after. The front is a lot more difficult compared to the rear if you don't have a pretty good array of tools. Some large sockets (18mm, 21mm for most connections, 25mm or 26mm for...

    OME is on his way!

And I'm done! New OME shocks and springs all around, new JBA A-arms, and new hubs. Went from about 19.5" in the front and 20" in the rear to about 23" (rear passenger was 24" for some odd reason- hopefully it'll settle and even out quickly). Overall it took probably twice as long as I...
