Okay, so I was looking at the news this morning and saw this on the ticker on the bottom of the page."Fiat denies merger with VW". But the Fiat stock jumps in value and this article seems to support the idea that VW is interested in Fiat's Chrysler side of business.
Fiat shares rise on VW...
I did remove the intake at the beginning of the warm weather and returned it to stock box. I did realize a 1ish mpg uptick by doing this, so good thinking. As far as county driving, I was trying to convey a type of driving that is some in sub-urban town driving, very little city at all (stop and...
In the past I have done everything in the world possible to effect MPG's with my Jeep. I have had both very good and very bad experiences.
At this point in time I am having a bad experience. My average MPG is about 13. and that would be on a good stretch of normal "county" driving. In town it...
I added larger tires to my rig, and went to a dealer to have the speedo reset. regardless of whether you have larger tires, you may want to just get the speedo re calibrated. Cost me 40.00 bucks. fixed the speedo to correct.
Yeah I know, Right. did the plugs this summer and washed the filter too a few weeks ago. that's what I mean, a sudden drop and nothing different on my end.
Normally I run at around 16 to 19 city. But now, in the past month or so I'm lucky to get 10 - 12!!! This is crap. IDK...
I have e of course been well up to date with all the usual stuff (oil changing n tire pressure and etc.).
Having spoken with a mechanic the result was " we don't want to...
Another neat thing, and I don't know... but, I 95 to 98have had the air conditioning on full time. It has been really hot in my area. I have seen while on I-95 a 111 degree road air temp. and usually around 95 - 98 degrees as par for the course lately. So that puts a bit more strain on the...
So this may not look awesome but consider this... Lifted 2 3/4. Larger tires, HD OME suspension, bike rack. 117,000 Miles.
I was previously only able to get about 17ish per gallon in an hour trip to Baltimore from where I am. For the past week I have been consistently in the low to mid 20's...
1. Anybody know if smaller injectors can be installed instead of the ones that are stock? I have a thought that even more of a "mist" might be of some benefit. (maybe from another Chrysler/Jeep vehicle?)
2. What type of O2 sensors are stock? I'd like to try wide band sensors if they are available.
Were you pulling straight out? forward or backing out? Could have been something sill like the front air dam was sitting a bit on a curb and rubbed and grabbed as you reversed. Happens from timt to time with me even though I am lifted.
I typically keep the pressure set at 33psi as recommended. I air down for off road traction of course, but I have heard a lot of different opinions on what to run the tires at around my area. What do you set yours at, and why?
FYI...
Tires installed, Speedo re calibrated, Hypertech re flashed...
All is good. No noticeable issues and shifts great at the right times.
I'm happy:big_banana_Dance:
Okay then. Glad I asked. I am getting 245/70/17's. I posted in the off chance that it might be a good idea. Speedo is going to be re-calibrated soon after anyway as I saw that one coming. You meant 2000 revs I guess. That concerns me a bit.
Here a question though. 4.10's just slide right in, or...
So at what point in increased tire size do we need to re-gear to accommodate? And to the next point what gear to what tire size? Are there any other reasons to upgrade the gears other than increased tire size?
I have been looking at this for a few days and in typical addict behavior I have talked myself into wanting it.
Does anyone have any experience with this unit?
I have seen the threads on the other Hypertech unit ( the Max Energy 52001) but I am interested in increasing mpg's.
Having looked...
Here is a Tool talking about the different colors and types of coolants. If you scroll down a bit HOAT is described as usually yellow.
I'm just going to the dealer, screw all the colors and crap. "at this point I just want peace of mind"
http://www.farrelloil.com/documents/cooling.pdf
""HOAT"...
To be on the safe side, I plan on switching out to the Mopar HOAT anyway as suggested. If I can find out about this "green HOAT" I fill in. This was a European dealer, and I think what I had read was that The green stuff was Euro. I check it out.
