Had to replace the blower on our '02 limited KJ. It had a burnt connection where the plug attaches that also melted the plug and jacket on wiring. Luckily my dealer had a replacement plug and blower in stock. They did give me a 25% discount on the parts.
Took me about 30 minutes to install...
Yep my wife's kinda did the same thing. I was thinking it was the resister, which I changed, but in the process found a clear umbrella bag she had in the glove box blocking the vent.
Removed the bag, replaced the resister and it works fine now.
Thanks for the part ID and good idea on checking the sizes.
Seems its a standard 1/4" and 3/8" ID (inside diameter) fuel hose sizes ... off to parts house.
updated: actually is was neither, its 5/16" fuel hose size.
Not quite sure of the part in question and rubber tubing sizes that has dry rotted and needs replacement. The third image shows two different tubing sizes.
Thanks in advance for any assistance!
Just replaced mine on our '02 KJ Limited (68000 miles) with the Dayco brand. $45.99 @ local Advance Auto Parts store using $10 VISA discount code online. Took maybe 20 minutes tops.
Probably would have been a $150 job at dealer.
No it hasn't been the same mechanic and Chrysler is quite aware of this ongoing issue with KJ window regulators. My dealer says they have done many on the KJ's and keep the parts in stock all the time now. Even the Chrysler customer care rep. acknowledged the issue on their part.
Let me...
Yep the rear passenger side has failed 3 times now and the window hasn't even been used. This time they replaced just the Lift Plate assembly (CDCZX27CAB) with a new part that the dealer said they were now using, so hopefully it'll last longer.
On a positive note Chrysler Consumer Affairs is...
I provided Rotors and Ceramic Disk Pads ($150 from AutoZone) then paid local Jeep Dealer $85 to install. Thankfully my dealer will install non OEM parts that I provide.
If they installed the Mopar Value Line brake pads you got took to the cleaners. Those are about the lowest quality pads out...
Out of curiosity the belt is routed properly? Strange enough I recently had the transmission serviced and while at it had the dealer replace the belt. Two days later I notice an obvious ticking noise yet couldn't quite place which pulley it was. Happened to look at belt routing and noticed it...

That's certainly goes beyond what you can readily find out, that 3K OCI is a waste. Even the Auto manufactures tell you different ... :hmm:
I could certainly see it under extreme conditions but 5k OCI under normal driving conditions isn't going to cause a premature engine failure.
You shouldn't be if your using a quality oil. 5000 miles between changes on my '02 3.7L Liberty and '09 5.3L GMC with Mobil 1 5W-30 synthetic & Mobil 1 filters.
