Changes to A/C, heater control unit

I agree, thats going to cost more than 300 bucks. Anywhere other than a paintless dent removal place will want to replace the door skin and repaint that door. It cost ~700 bucks to do that to my wife's Elantra when it was 4 years old #-o- SRotblat

Turbo Timer for CRD
No need for a pissing match, as it doesnt seem you've got an understanding on why you'd want a turbo timer #-o. All turbo vehicles regardless of any suposed superior technology require different cool down procedures than non turbo cars, ie cooling off the turbo via coolant or water flowing...- SRotblat

Silcone, White Lithium... what?
what will also work is grease designed for marine applications (trailers, etc) -- no worries about water flushing it out then and its the same stuff really. Most important is what Bennett said though, its gotta be safe for use with rubber/poly compounds otherwise it'll eat away at it.- SRotblat

Turbo Timer for CRD
superior technology or not you can always benifit from allowing cooler colant/water to flow through the turbo which can be done by use of a turbo timer. I've got one on my modified GTI, and if I had a CRD I'd try to get on on that too.- SRotblat
