87 XJ axles - hpD30 & D44
Ratio will not matter with 33's on a KJ you will want 4.56's and as far as I know only H3's with the I-5 came stock with that ratio Now some will say that the HP30 is not strong enough I say nay to that as the HP30 holds 35's all day long You better check and make 100% that it has a 44 and...- J-Thompson

Good luck finding an NV242 You have a NP242 ,look at the ID tag That being said you will need the case from a KJ with the same trans or you will be swapping input or output shafts or both- J-Thompson

got a new KJ.. need a key
$250 is way to high Our old VW had a "reverse cut" key with the remote built into it and it was like a "switch blade" it would spring out of the side We got a dealer key for $200 and we only had 1 key- J-Thompson

'02 Liberty Fuel Filling Problem
F250 ext. cab long bed The short bed gets a wimpy 26 or 28 gallon tank I wish mine held 50 gallons Wife's pathfinder only holds 18 but has room for nearly twice that why not at least put a 25 gallon tank?- J-Thompson

found out whats wrong with rear upper control arm **PIC**
If this is an ongoing issue for the KJ Why not fab up your own? Truss/LCA mount for a TJ on the top of the axle Beefed up for the added stress For the UCA Large "Johnnie Joint" on the axle end Stardard TJ lowers at the "frame end" Modify the frame end of the KJ Problem solved- J-Thompson

Not quite powerful enough to tow?
I can tell the 5 speed in my wife's Pathfinder What gear to go in I can do the same for my TJ but it only has 3 choices Her old VW had a 6 speed auto and you could shift it and if I try I can shift my F250 1-3 then I have to let it take over for 4&5 So even with a modern auto if it is geared...- J-Thompson
