    Rocker panels - Worth doing?

Other than that rust she's pretty great. 132K km (82K miles) and I am religious about maintenance! Does the price seem normal? IMG_5098 by JasonW-D, on Flickr

    Rocker panels - Worth doing?

I knew it would come to it; our rocker panels (sills if you're British) are showing through the body filler that someone had repaired them with. Here's the question.. is it really worth replacing them? I got a quote that covers replacing the two panels and repairing a rust patch by one of the...

    Jeep Cherokee Funny video Comparision

I have to say, even though I love my KJ; it is the worst quality vehicle I have owned. Saying that, on an agricultural scale it's not bad. I'm nearly 40 and have lived on four continents.

    Killing the interior lights? How?

Thanks Chaps... I do get pretty paranoid; especially in conditions like this... Rough Camping by JasonW-D, on Flickr Weirdly; my notifications are being eaten by something [spamfilter?]

    Killing the interior lights? How?

I'd really like to disable the interior lights when we are camping because I am paranoid the battery will go flat when we are opening and closing the Jeep. Is there a fuse that you can pull? I had a look and came up with zip.

    Rocky Road outfitter Roof Rails

Funny... we just did our first trip with exactly the same problem; which is why I was looking at this thread. The Factory roof rails seem to be coming apart so I was looking at the Rocky Road rails. I might even get a metalworker to join them with two bars so I can attach the roof-tent...

    17" Winter Tyres- Which ones?

Erummmm… this looks reasonable? Dunlop Grandtrek SJ6 - Canadian Tire I have no idea when it comes to snow tyres, but the ones that were on our KJ when we bought it looked chunky and nice then, but now (since all the other cars here have their new boots on) they look pretty ragged. Montreal...

    Wheel bearing or tyre noise?

Thanks Tom It only happens at speeds where turning wouldn't be wise, so I'm not sure. I suppose you are thinking about the wheel loading reducing on turning? I'll check the boots. I need to crawl under there anyway because something is creaking on steering input!

    Wheel bearing or tyre noise?

We bought our 04 KJ this weekend and I'm pretty sure it has wheel bearing issues. It has 114,000km on it and winter tyres at the moment so I'm not sure if that resonant wowwowwowwow on the highway is the tyres or bearings. The noise appears from about 40kph. What do you guys reckon?
