Must have a ***** mouth! ****
I'm happy to hear that some have ran without regearing for years and no serious issues came up. I know my power band will move from where it is currently and I'm okay with that. I do have some long trips planned later this year and the savings in gas money would...
I believe you guys are right. The science is sound! :D Which is a little unfortunate for me as I was hoping I wouldn't lose MPG's or low end torque, but it seems I will. I do plan to regear at some point so I guess those plans got expedited. I have been trying to find a 4banger that's junked or...
Anyone have success replacing their fuel pump/sender unit with one from RockAuto? I think I need a new one but I dont want to be dropping the tank every year or so to replace it if the aftermarket options are junk. There are 5 daily driver options and one premium one from Delphi.
Is that a manual like the Hanes or is that from the FSM? Please update this when you hear back from the company you purchased from. I'm nervous to replace anything in the tank as most people seem to not get much life out of the replacement unit. Id rather spend money/time fixing the stock unit...
Hey there. Sorry to ask something asked before but I havent gotten a solution just from reading. Purchased Libby a month ago. I have done a gauge sweep and gas gauge works. My gauge is not always on E as it sometimes read correctly (or at least as correct as it did before the issue was noticed)...
jeepjeepster- Iunderstand it takes more force from the motor to move a tire with larger contact area, wind resistance, yadda yadda. But it seems like the general tip is that you regear when you get bigger/HEAVIER tires. If my tire is the same or very close to the stock weight, just as an...
I wish I had 16's. I know the price difference between a decent/cheap set of rims w/ AT tires is considerably close to a full set of AT on 17's, but try explaining that to the ole ball and chain. I have the height needed for the 245/75 and im going with light rims and tires so im hoping the...
Yes I removed the stands and had it sitting on the ground. Then I bounced on the bumpers and pushed it side to side to try and settle it. the only thing I couldn't leave semi-loose is the nut that caps the shock into the mount plate at the top of the shock. I read that its torque spec is rather...
Hey everyone. New to forums and new owner of a Libby.
First, This might be a long one. I appreciate the abundance of knowledge on this site as its helped me loads while lurking. Bought an 05 KJ Limited 4x4 w/175k miles. I know its considered high mileage (with most cars, not sure the lifespan...
Hey all,
Second post here. Messed up and put my first post in the KK forum. I have an 05 -_-
Anyway, I know that regearing is necessary when upping tires above 31" but is that because the bigger tire weighs more or is it because of the effort it takes for a full revolution? I ask because I dont...
