Vibration at idle in drive?
Trans clutch shudder, not that unusual for the 42RLE. Usually particularly noticable backing up even a slight grade. IMO..., if it's not shuddering badly I'd just let it be. If the Dlr gets into it they're gonna also re-flash (update) your module (depending on the vehicle year). And sadly once...- Bullett55

Low Rear end when towing
Check the drop on your draw bar/ball mount. It's a bit of a balancing act with the spare tire/trailer tongue clearance to get the desired/correct ball height. You may have to go with an 'extra long' draw bar to get the ball height you want and still clear the spare tire getting your trailer...- Bullett55

At dealer getting weird info on calibrating odo
Hey Rockymountain... Please tell me the name of your dealer so I can ctc them. My dealer was unable to get the computer to accept the 684 revs per mi for my new 245/75s. They told me my '05 computer would not accept anything less than 720 revs per mile (which is the rev/mi of the OEM...- Bullett55

Permanent solution to this problem..., permission to treat the lowlife(s) like LF's raccoons (not that I encourage raccoon assassinations - lol). Guaranteed... no more thefts in less than 6mos. No more need to spend any $$ on alarm systems/Clubs etc., etc. Kinda like a few strategically placed...- Bullett55

Rough Ride
Well put tjkj. Although the Tiguan does have considerably more 'off road' ability than RAV, CRV, Escape etc., it's 4Motion (Haldex awd) still has no low range. And it's based on the Rabbit/Golf platform. So when it comes to a purpose built body, and off the pavement skills, were talking apples...- Bullett55

Actually, I believe the current regular ('retail') Hella 500 lenses are compatable w/our 'Mopar' 500 lenses. Not absolutely sure though. Mounted spare question

Thx "J". I edited my post after you responded, adding that the reason I liked that ability to feather in and out of lockup is for those long race trips towing that light trailer. I realize downshifting is not harmful, I just hate having to stuff the throttle thereby triggering an unneeded...- Bullett55
