    inner fender

If you don't wish to replace the whole piece, try taking measurements of the torn holes (or trace them) and meander through your local parts store. You may be able to simply use a fastener with a wider head, or pair it with a large washer of some kind. It's too dark to see anything under my...

    Paint fading underneath clear coat.

Yikes...the southwest has struck again. Hopefully someone speaks up with a miracle solution, because it sounds like you'll have to cut through the clear one way or another. Vibrant red paints are chemically a lot more susceptible to fading. The duller, more natural colors get their pigment...

    Lightbar switch connector/molex help?

Thanks, Bob! I will definitely do that. My head is hurting from staring at too many diagrams. JeepCoMJ: I didn't realize the pins were different as I haven't pulled 'em out yet. That was just one idea I had. All that matters to me is getting a switch hooked up and functioning. Since...

    Lightbar switch connector/molex help?

Okay...I'm wondering if we're talking about the same thing. The 'pins' I'm referring to are the crimped silver wire-caps in the pic below, and the molex is the white plastic piece. Molex connectors come in every shape and size imaginable, so 'fit' isn't an issue. It's just a frame to keep a firm...

    Lightbar switch connector/molex help?

Eh...unfortunately paying off medical bills takes priority. Also, I'd lose my membership in the Die-Hard DIY-ers Club if I didn't try everything to fix it myself first. I've seen a lot of threads about folks installing after-market switches, so I'm sure something can be rigged. I just don't know...

    Lightbar switch connector/molex help?

Hey all, Any wiring experts out there? My 03' Renegade came with a broken lightbar switch (literally, the physical switch cap was missing, exposing the circuitboard). I pulled a switch from an old Range Rover, but the prongs that fit into the molex connector are different. Can I use the...

How to upgrade exterior plastics/maybe Rhinolining?

Nice! How long have you had it on and how is it holding up? I hadn't considered doing the entire bumpers on mine, but seeing yours has changed my mind! :hmm: hectikart & 05renny: Yikes, I will scratch POR15 off the list of possibilities! UV protection is a must, otherwise I'd be re-painting...

How to upgrade exterior plastics/maybe Rhinolining?

Thanks! I love Mother's B2B...awesome stuff. Unfortunately it doesn't quite work the miracles I need. I've got the plastics on my KJ looking great, but when anything gets on them (and I mean anything) it takes divine intervention to get it off. Dust, wax, pollen, bird doo, bug guts...it gets...

    wax on black Jeep

Most pro detailers seal it first and then wax, although as HoosierJeeper said, your can technically do it either way. Personally I like to do the wax last, as I don't put a sealer on very often. (Sealers etc are hard to find in my neighborhood, and I'm all out...lol)

How to upgrade exterior plastics/maybe Rhinolining?

Will do! Thank you very much! I've only recently heard of Line-X, so I'll look into that too. Living in the desert with no garage, extra UV protection would be a definite plus.

How to upgrade exterior plastics/maybe Rhinolining?

Hey All, I've been having far too many issues with the exterior plastics on my 03' Renegade, and I am determined to do something to improve them. Anyone know of any coatings/additives to make the plastics less susceptible to waxes/spills/compounds/life etc? I've considered Rhino-lining, but...

Is this a pinion seal leak or something else?

Thanks, tjkj2002. I didn't know what those 'holes' were called. Judging from the fact that someone tried to seal it before, I'm guessing the plug weld must've been damaged, thus the leakage. I'm debating just pulling the whole sucker apart and replacing the fluid...but we'll see.

Remove vanity mirror from sun visor?

Well, I got most of the visor disassembled. The part that's giving me trouble now is the hinge on the mirror; for the life of me I can't get it to pop off. Any suggestions? :Frustrated: Downtown -- Thanks for the info! Your pics didn't show up, but no worries. Thanks all!

Remove vanity mirror from sun visor?

Hello, Has anyone removed the lighted mirrors from their sun visors? I need to re-cover my visors, but I can't figure out how to remove the mirrors. I searched the forum and Google, and couldn't seem to find anything that would help for the Liberty. Found lots of stuff for other vehicles...

Is this a pinion seal leak or something else?

Hey all, I got it all cleaned up, and the vent/breather looks clear from what I can tell. (When I took the Jeep in to a shop to get a tire repaired, I asked the guys to check on the vent. THREE guys checked and couldn't find it!) Researched it at home and finally discovered it was a tube on...

Is this a pinion seal leak or something else?

I've done some more cleaning (pardon...excavating), and it's looking like it might be a combination of a plugged vent and leaking axle tube. I won't know for sure on the vent until I can get a mirror and a light up in there to see it. (I don't have a jack or ramps, so it's Twister time...

    How's it going?

Thanks! I have a love for black vehicles. Living in southern Arizona I've been called crazy for it, but then I've never claimed I was anything but! Having owned three black vehicles and two white, I'll take the black any day. :favorites37:
