I am gonna get mine back to stock height. Gonna do new rear coils and shocks and new coil assemblies up front. Reason I am not lifting is I have a horrible back (degenerative disc disease and all that) and don't want to make it hard to get in. I want to run the stock height tire, but in a 15...
Then I need to figure some other way to waste my money on it. Maybe some all terrain tires. Already have the 15" Cragar Soft 8s. Just need some shoes for them and I cna ditch these street tires. Damn shame too, but I want ATs. Need to find a buyer for them. Thanks for the info.
The thought popped into my mind while considering a mechanical fan for offroading...just out of curiosity, how much pain in the butt would it be to put a 2 way switch on the electric fan? That way when offroading I can turn the fan on to run all the time to help prevent overheating, then when I...
What size is the coolant bleed screw on a 2002 Jeep Liberty Sport 3.7L? I realize I am about half out of my senses right now but I can't find it anywhere.
I pulled the waterpump and the impeller is in new condition and spins freely and the electric fan operates fine. I saw it cycle myself 2 or 3 times tonight, tho I have considered putting on a mechaniceal fan for low speed driving when on the beach. By the way, what flippin size is that bleeder plug?
It is coolant mix. The head gaskets were blown. Puffing white smoke and missing when I first cranked it up. Heater was cold and was overheating. Talked to my mechanic to verify it was a head gasket and he agreed. I tried to pull the plug but couldn't get it off. Had to try to burp it the old...
OK, went to try once again to burp the system and had the wife inside. Said she heard these 2 kinda popping noises then the heat warmed up a bit. So I decided to take it for a drive and see what happens. The heat was blowing considerably warmer on the passenger side, almost ambient temp on the...
The diagram I saw showed the spring facing into the block. The puddling didn't smell like gas and was boiling from the heat. It DID overheat but not to the point of a warning indicator coming on.
About ready to see what size hole a 7.62x54 will put in an engine block. I got it all back together and it's running but over heats in about 10 miles. Get back home and I have water sitting in the recesses in the head where the injector sits on the front passenger side. Have no clue where it...
After I torque the head bolts to, I think its 20 ft lbs, do I REALLY put a pull handle on them and turn them 90 degrees and then do it again??? That seems awful tight.
On the oil filler neck, what is the hose called that runs into the side of it? I was taking mine off when I started the process of replacing the head gaskets and broke the point where the hose runs into the oil filler neck. Seems to be some type of vent. what is the critter called so I can get...
Taking my heads to have them shaved tmw morning and wife accidentally tuend the head up side down and dropped the lifters out of it.:icon_eek: They are all out of whack. Will I have to replace them? I didn't see any noticeable wear on them, but want to do the job right.
I know this thread is old but, as far as the harmonic balancer puller, is the Chrysler one necessary or will the standard $20 have the proper adaptors?
