I would just be careful with that if you are planning on doing any water fording. From the picture, it seems lower than stock and also would be a direct inlet for water through that grille. Other than that, seems like it would definitely make sure it's getting plenty of air.
Thanks for the comments guys. I've learned that the whole fourwheeling thing is not really my thing, so I'll stick to the detailing, much to the dismay of the hardcore types lol.
Oh, and Dave, it's supposed to be 70 here tomorrow. :D:p
I was able to detail the KJ again today and had quite possibly the best results ever. I had done a full Zaino treatment a few weeks ago, so decided to put a layer of Pinnacle XMT 180 on there using the new Porter Cable I got. I managed to get a few pictures just before the sun went down and I am...
So, since it's been awhile since I've bought the Jeep anything and I've been working on getting all of the minor things that have worn out replaced, I realized I have yet to get it the aftermarket air filter that I have wanted to get. Looking at Checker I have the choice between an Airaid and...
Wow, just saw this thread, and it's weird to see everyone heading out in vehicles other than the KJs now. I'm not planning to do any runs myself in the forseeable future, but glad to see there are runs starting up again.
All the DaimlerChrysler vehicles I've seen have quite a bit of orange peel, especially with the darker colors. However, I figure it's not a Maserati, and a Jeep isn't really meant to be a show vehicle.
Although it could be interesting to see how this plays out, I think it's in the best interest to lock this thread. Sorry guys, nothing to see here..... :)
Very nice. Mine has 110K and it still one of the shiniest vehicles in my university parking lot. Take care of it and it will definitely take care of you lol.
Very nice. Funny how 17's on a Liberty practically look like it's dubbed out lol. I would just be careful with that bra on the hood. Could scratch or discolor the paint if you aren't careful. It all looks great though.
Welcome to the site! It's always nice to get people from other countries on here. I've always wanted to travel to Germany, but so far have not had the opportunity to leave the continental U.S. for a trip.
Glad it all went well. I just changed mine and my Jeep has been showing a 1 mpg average increase, so hopefully you also get a noticeable performance increase. Out of curiosity, why did you have the coolant reservoir removed? We've never had to loosen anything but the spark plugs themselves.
I'm really liking the tow hooks and the grille inserts. As far as the license plate holder, I guess it's a matter of always wanting whatever you can't have. Being in the U.S., I've always kinda liked the look of the Euro-spec KJ's with the license plates the way they are and the side indicator...
Nope. I know in AZ, they are very very strict on not having blue lighting on the vehicle or any forward-facing red lights. I think that law applies nationwide too.
