I have an factory alarm ?

Just start the Jeep. It will then reset. The key FOB is two parts. One is the remote, battery powered. The other is the Sentry anti-theft, this is passive. Unless the FOB is phisly damage it will allow you to start the Jeep.

New Guy... Just got my CRD!

Yes, enjoy your Liberty. Some notes: I have done B50 and lost some power and 1 MPG. I am staying at B20 for now, when I can get some time to get more B100. The motor is made by VM in Italy, a devision of Detroit Diesel. Expect some low MPG for first 10,000 miles, this is about how long it will...

    Drove a CRD Today

Was this from a dead stop or moving?? Mine from dead stop, give it 3/4 to full thottle and there is 1-2 sec lag. 1/2 or less very responsive, also between 2000 and 3000 looks like is the power band for this engine.

    Fuse question

This is duplicated post other post is here http://www.jeepkj.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1266

    Fuse keeps blowing...

If you do not blow the fuse with the radio off, it's not the power wires to the radio, it's the radio itself. Also a shorted speaker or speaker wire might cause the fues to blow but I dout it.

Power source rating for rear 12v source.

Rear power outlet is fused at 20 amps. So real life draw 15 amps or less. That about 200 watts.

    Daytime Running Lights

DTR I wired my fog lamps to come on everytime. It was quick and cheap. To do it right you will need to remove the high beam relay, add the DTR module and get the computer reflashed by changing the vin number stored in the computer. This will take a dealer about 2 hours to do, if they will do it...

Biodiesel This tank I am using B50, a small change in sound, better smell from exhaust, a little less power, and the computer is showing 1 MPG less. I will do one more B50 tank and adjust the mix from there.

What to do, what to do? Rim size and Tire/Brand availability

16" is stock The CRD comes with 16" rims. Some people have had the dealer swap the 16" for 17". I would rather have the 16", better tire selection, just like TBBT is finding out. Also with 16" rims you can go with LT tire instead of P tires.
