    2003 Window Regulator Failure

[Read last paragraph if you would like to see my basic inquiry/question] This is like the 3rd or 4th time this has happened to my poor liberty. Half the times I replaced it myself, but now its getting frustrating because I shell out the $$$ to the dealer for the part or whatever. Anyway...

Driving feels different in differenty liberties

Figured that was it. I like the feel of my '03 cause that's what I've been used to anyway haha ... but the more manual control makes it feel like I'm more in control of it. I guess if I were in a situation that required quick braking and I wasn't prepared, then the ABS could come in handy...

Driving feels different in differenty liberties

Driving feels different in different liberties I have a 2003 KJ and I was recently driving a 2007 KJ today. I noticed that the 2007 KJ had more of a delayed reaction and what felt like a different acceleration. I can't really describe it other than it just really drives and reacts...

    Dealership stripped radiator mounting screw

I picked up two fender washers (to match the thickness of the original) and put them in place. When I was fastening the screw in I could feel that it was either stripped or about to, so I just stopped. I jiggled the radiator and it felt secure enough. I guess if it ends up becoming a problem...

    Dealership stripped radiator mounting screw

I agree, I did get worked up over nothing. Thinking about it, I'm really just wasting my time at this point to keep going back there... If the correct fix is to use a coarse threaded screw, then I suppose I should just leave it and put a larger fender washer over it?

    Dealership stripped radiator mounting screw

Since I am temporarily living somewhere else and didn't have the necessary equipment or time to do the radiator replacement myself, I decided to have a local dealership do the job and shuttle me off to work while they worked on it. After the job was completed I inspected the front end and...

Burning smell from 03 Jeep... (pics attached)

Just thought I'd post an update. I replaced the PCV valve to no avail. Since the passenger side valve cover gasket was difficult to access I decided to take it to a Jeep dealership and have them replace it. I had already purchased the gasket set (Felpro brand). The old gasket was uneven...

    Updates..

I really only come by when I need to or if I have some questions about my Jeep. Most of the time though, I do other things online lol... I really do love the level of detail and knowledge I get from looking at past threads and solving interesting problems. I have resolved several...

Burning smell from 03 Jeep... (pics attached)

Wow, that's a lot of miles! Obviously leaking isn't "normal", but I'm just shocked that for an engine with as "low" miles as it has leaking oil from the gaskets is occurring...guess I'm trying to gauge the frequency of this problem occurring with other Jeeps... What kind of things could...

Burning smell from 03 Jeep... (pics attached)

Thank you for the diagram. I checked them myself and noticed that one of them was able to be tightened a little and cleaned some oil residue that was around it. I'm not sure if that did anything... I ended up taking it to Tires Plus (where I get the oil changed and buy tires), and they...

I'm having some trouble finding the valve covers.. ...Can you help me locate them?

Burning smell from 03 Jeep... (pics attached)

Hmm.... you're right it looks like oil. In fact, after I went under the Jeep and looked more closely, it's definitely oil falling from above onto the sensor... I checked the oil level, and it's still in the "safe" range. I don't know how long this issue has been going on, but I remember...

Burning smell from 03 Jeep... (pics attached)

I've noticed a burning smell and have seen some smoke coming out of the hood and finally saw what has been burning: It looks like it's some wire that is going into the exhaust system...? Anyone know what it is? And how I can replace it? Thanks, Chris

Help me find the hissing noise

Jeep/Chrysler/whatever wanted to charge me ~$45 for the whole tubing assembly. I went to a local Carquest and was able to get a 5/16" of fuel line which worked beautifully. In fact, I think that is what might have been there because the old rubber said 5/16" on it and it had the same...

Help me find the hissing noise

True... just like if the fuel fill cap is not on, sometimes the light may come on because of loss of vaccum/pressure?

Help me find the hissing noise

I have noticed that the fuel economy is a lot less than it used to be, not sure if that is related though. What kind of things can this hose leak affect? Where should I get the replacement hose? Since I found this problem, is there a methodology to finding other leaks for maintenance?

Help me find the hissing noise

I have this same exact problem. The connector is cracked and the hoses are hissing. I put electrical tape on it as a temp fix until I can get it fixed properly. For now, the hissing is gone. Does anyone know what the proper part is to replace with? Is this something generic...

    Minor Paint Scratch Repair Help

Checked the door panel label and it says PB7, guess that is not Midnight Blue, but Patriot Blue Pearl. Some pictures of the scrach along the door edge. The flash makes the scratch more white than it really is, but the location and description should be enough to give you a good idea of it...
