Since Covid I took my KJ off the road and used our family car. With lack of use, the transmission cable on the shifter got really tight or when I'd put it back in park it wouldn't actually go in all the way so the car would not start - the car sensing it was still in Drive. So I managed to go...
Thanks for these useful insights. I'm Scottish so I get called cheap too! Did the ATF fluid come gushing out when you tried this or was it thick enough when cold that you had time to work with it quickly?
It's just dripping right now, so if I checked my fluid before leaving it might be ok as my mechanic is a 10 mins drive away. I will see if they can estimate how long it might take them to do. Thanks for your advice.
I spotted a leak from my transmission cooler lines on my 03 Liberty.
I'm not sure I want to tackle the full replacement with the Mopar one as it might just be better to get my garage to do that on their hoist.
But I did wonder if I could cut these pipes with a Dremel and put a small length...

I saw a bundle that has Calipers, Ceramic Brake Pads, Drilled Rotors for $225 (Canadian with free shipping) but I'm hesitant and wonder about the quality of something like this - it looks to good to be true and normally there is a catch? What do people think? Avoid?
The original calipers I took...
Thanks everyone!Success! Lots of WD40 for the last few days and a punch/hammer combo and it came free!
Does anyone have advice on buying wheel bearings? Assume stick away from those real cheap ones as they will fail quickly especially in a harsh Canadian climate? At the same time I don't need...
Thanks for your advice - appreciate it! To be sure I understand you correctly, with this method, would I re-attach the hub part back in place with the 3 torx screws and then hammer that nut (end thread) inwards to separate them from each other?
I did not want to damage anything hence I stopped...
I'm new to this forum but have used it as great resource in the past to fix things!
I decided during this pandemic it's a good time to try and replace my wheel hubs, caliber, rotor and pads as it was all overdue. I'm not a mechanic but I have done bearings on trailers and a brake change some...
