Can someone confirm the theory that the tow vehicle weight needs to weigh more than the towed load? A tractor-trailer combo or a 1ton with a 5th-wheel setup are two examples that I can think of where the trailer weighs more than the the tow vehicle. I always thought swaying was from...- sleeve

How do I replace a wheel lug?
You are refering to the wheel stud. The stud is pressed into the hub assembly. If the hub comes off, you can take the whole thing to napa, have them press out the bad stud and stick in a new one for you. *note I have never looked at the hub assembly on the KJ so I do not know for certain...- sleeve

Towing with spare on back
I think I got about 1/2" of additional clearance but I never really measured so I'm just guessing but the change is pretty decent. Also, you will still have clearance to open the flipper glass with the tire carrier rotated 180 degree's.- sleeve

If you haven't already: Take the spare tire off and flip the spare tire carrier 180 degrees and reassemble. This moves the spare tire up slightly and might give you a little more clearance. Rear Plate Light
They do exist Super Bright LED's But is it worth it? The 168 is like $0.98 for a pack of two and they last at least 5 years. Or in my case, so far, 8 years. LED is nice, but so is a cheap bulb.- sleeve

Transmission cooler, Need or not?
If you leave your cooling setup stock and simply turn off the Overdrive while trailering your KJ should live a long and happy life. If you are still looking for an improved solution over the stock setup I would recommend mounting a small electric pusher fan on the front of the transmission...- sleeve

Personally I would keep the KJ and pick up a new vehicle. I know you said you were only thinking about it at this point but my opinion is: The KJ's paid for so you might as well drive it until it is non-repairable and get your moneys worth out of the vehicle.- sleeve
