Today I changed the drivers side valve Cover gasket, and had the correct rpm programmed in my computer for the 265/75/16 tires that she's wearing :). ... What an incredibly different feeling she has now! Throttle response and shift points have changed dramatically and she is so much friendlier...
Changed the spark plugs on Lucy II. Should've done it sooner but I've been working non stop since I got her... Anywhoo those plugs were SHOT! Engine is now purring like a kitten :) no jitters/skips/misses...
And swap out my water pump... Can I drain the petcock and reservoir... Fill with distilled water and let it run until the fan kicks on (water pump activation) Then drain the petcock, and repeat the process until its clear and then start filling with G5??
I dunno guys I feel none of this vibration that's being spoken about... This truck feels like a brand new vehicle. And knowing how many times i changed the cv heads on my old front driveshaft... I feel like I have peace of mind with the spicer joints...
I must honestly say thAt this kj feels like a damn Cadillac compared to my old beast. This truck feels so damn refined and smooth like butter. It really is like having a new truck! I do not feel these vibrations at all it coasts so smoothly down the road under and off acceleration.
So I knew about this when I went to get the truck but it totally slipped my mind... Look at the awesome custom front drive shaft she came with :) oh... and just installed moog rack and pinion bushings, and stabilizer links and bushings :)
Just went outside and added more
Shims until it "slightly" grabbed... Tightened her up... Put the belt back on... Started the jeep and voila no movement in the center... Turned on AC... Boom starts spinning... Turned it off.... Click it stopped ... YAAAAAYYYYYYY!!!
And now it won't disengage even when off... The clutch just keeps spinning and spitting out cold air... Can I drive to work and home like this with the ac on low and troubleshoot the shims tomorrow? Or should I reinstall the shorter belt and bypass it in the meantime??
I would so love life at that point!!! I would have the best of both worlds! This new jeep is so damn pretty lol... I think I'll feel bad wheeling it lol!
And so it began today... Installed new rotors, new rack and pinion bushings, new stabilizer bar bushings and end links, checked the rear brakes, and got an alignment...
And so it begins!!
New stabilizer links and bushings, as well as rack and pinion bushings and new rotors went in today... Had an alignment done and she feels gooooood! Can't wait to get the rest in the mail :)
The dealer.... That would be awesome... So today I finished my shopping list for the new rig... I bought the rest of the moog everything that I either cancelled or sent back last week... So now I have or have coming: new lower control arm bushings, new Clevis fork bushings, new upper control...
