    I'm a little confused about the 02 -04 working . After reading this thread & others I went on ebay & put in 2004 jeep liberty pcm . All the pcm's had 4 connectors . My 05 has 4 & my 02 has 3 .

    My personal opinion is that if you have a shop install a remanufactured engine you'll have more in it than it's worth , especially if the rest of the jeep isn't in near perfect condition . In my area you can buy a good running liberty for much less than what you're going to have invested in...

    The oil pressure sending unit threads in the block above the oil filter which would put it sort of behind the power steering pump .

    I know someone that thought a rod was knocking in their KJ & started parting it out . When they removed the transmission , they found loose torque converter bolts .

    On an 02 the drivers side cat prevents the starter from coming out . Will removing the bands / clamps that hold the cats to the exhaust manifolds & dropping the crossover pipe down to the crossmember allow the starter enough room to come out ? The front shaft is out .
