I'm looking at picking up a 2-bike rack that sits on the spare. (07 KJ 4x4)
Has anyone bent their tailgate yet? I'm thinking this is a good option until I mount a receiver hitch.
I went on vacation; thanks for the help in my thread. :)
Nothing has been replaced AFAIK. (we bought @ just under 16k miles)
The tensioner felt very appropriate in tension against my 1.5ft breaker bar. It definitely didn't feel undertensioned.
I will go over the pulley fore-aft...
I'm happy I made this thread; I was previously afraid that it was already covered information.
IMO, the stock KJ seats are in need of a bracket cut & weld to lower the seat a little bit already.
However, I don't get photo radar tickets when driving the KJ because I am tall enough that my...
I think I recall seeing something about the 2008-up Liberty's having available front seats that fold down so the interior is sleepable?
Is that right? It's been a while since I saw / heard / whatever'd that.
What's the swap potential into a 2007-down?
This has slowly gotten worse, so I thought I'd post about it and see if anyone has any thoughts or similar experiences.
On our 2007 3.7L automatic 4x4 KJ, the apparently OEM (Still has pentastar IIRC and the OEM PN) belt developed minor chunking at the edge/side on the back (smooth) side. I...
Thanks guys. I needed a bit of "bring me up to speed" since the rest of the household is non-Mopar.
I'll go 75W-90 on the rear diff. (though I might pick up a used hitch this week since our pickup is out of commission ](*,) )
I think I'll price compare a few items while I'm at the dealer...
I was reading this thread: http://www.jeepkj.com/forum/showthread.php?t=30426
Trans. is a 42RLE in the '07 correct?
Anyone using this "dipstick tool": http://www.automotivetools4less.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=2774 or should I just gather a dipstick from an...
I love almost never having to deal with this stuff. :p
We were headed to my father-in-law's house yesterday and starting resulted only in clicking. The battery was at 2.0v. I drug out my charger (125amp) to jump it, took it with us and jumped it again at his house, and jumped it again so as...
I thought the Michelin LTX on a friends full-size pickup always did well on and off-road so that may bet what I end up with; at least to replace the plugged tire. I'm definitely planning ahead.
I know these are 5 x 4.5 pattern but how about the offset on the attached?
(currently 28k on the stock goodyears; the 5th has a patch, so I'm just planning ahead)
I find the lift kit information interesting. I've done an amount of transmission swaps, chassis work (lowered cars for handling) and other stuff.
I'm already addicted to automotive stuff. Our other 4x4 is a-arms / torsion bars and leafs in the back.
I just have to be certain the chassis...
in a 16 x (stock '07 alloys width or maybe a bit wider)
with 5 x 4.5" and 5 x 4.75" patterns ?
I might be able to get something to suit both 4x4s in the household.
