Anyone try the Firestone Destination LE?

As my previous post stated, I'm looking for a high-mileage tire. I did some looking into the Revo, and found that the Destination was comparable, and even better in some instances. Plus, it costs a lot less. Thanks for the input.

    Double Din Stereo's

The JVC in the above picture is a single "Din" in a "Din and a half" mounting kit. A double din is twice the size (height) of the JVC, typically used ((as stated above) in foreign cars. Din is just the term used for the size of the radio.

    Looking for a long-wear tire.

Just as the title states, I don't need an off-road tire, but I want something better than stock. What is best?

    Double Din Stereo's

When I bought the install kit for mine, it looks more like a din and a half, not double din. I could be on crack though.

    Turbo Timer for CRD

No, I DO understand what at turbo timer does. Will I buy one for my WRX?? HELL NO. For me, it's a waste of gas. If I ever buy a CRD, I'd think about it. So no, ALL TURBO MOTORS DO NOT NEED A TURBO TIMER.

    Turbo Timer for CRD

Another idea; check the owner's manual to see if there is a cool down procedure for your turbo. If there is a section dedicated to this, then go ahead and get the timer. If not, save the $100 and your time.

    Hi

Can't go wrong with the Subie. This is a great forum, and if you'd like a good Subaru forum go to www.nasioc.com. It stands for North American Subaru Impreza Owners Club, but they welcome all makes of Fuji heavy Industries cars. And you can't beat the 250 HP turbo that the XT has.

    Turbo Timer for CRD

Not to get into a pissing match, but the only benefit MAY be extended turbo life. There are NO performance gains. On a VW a turbo timer is a good idea, but like I said, some vehicles won't need one.

    Turbo Timer for CRD

I'd hold off on buying a turbo timer. It seems that some cars don't need one. I recently bought a WRX and the cooling design of the Subaru turbo is superior than that of the old school Toyotas, and I've never seen one on a diesel. Since the CRD is new to the US, I would wait until some of the...

    What is L.O.S.T??

Cool, thanks for the info. I probably won't join since our Lib. will probably never see off-road. As far as the interface, yes, this site kicks ace. vBulletin makes some nice stuff.

    Need help getting codes.

Not necessarily. I've had other Mopar products that the CEL came on, several minutes of the battery unhooked and viola. The CEL never came back.

    Hi

We bought our Lib. used and test drove the Xterra and Mitsubishi Outlander. We also own a Subaru Outback, and we absolutely love our Liberty. The Xterra didn't seem to have the power and the Outlander just felt cheap. The Jeep is hers, and it might never see off-road. But, when it comes to...

    Brush Guard vs. a deer

If I were to get a push bar or brush guad, is there on that will withstand a deer at say 25 MPH? With the last few days of warm weather, (not today though) it seems as the deer herd has been pretty active. With the fog and lack of anti-lock brakes, there have been a couple close calls. Mike
