Just as the title states, I don't need an off-road tire, but I want something better than stock. What is best?

yeah, Revos are an excellent choice, and you might also look at some BFG Rugged Trail T/As. I have had good luck with them before as well.

Yep, yep. That's what I'm buying when the stock tires are... trashier?!!?. I just about said "when the stock tires are trash", but they're trash to begin with!

Another vote for the Bridgestone Dueler A/T REVO's. Had them on my wife's '02 Liberty 4x4 Sport (P235/70R16's) for about 2,600 miles before we bought the '05 Limited 4x4 CRD. Even my wife thinks these P225/75R16 OWL Goodyear Wrangler ST's are a "sissy" tire, and she does not know much about tires. Gotta get with my Bridgestone Rep Monday and get some real tires back on the '05 !
