Low side AC pressure very high
AC stopped working on my 04" KJ. Hooked up the gauges, and tried adding some refrigerant. The low side gauge was pegged as high as it will go. So should I assume the orifice tube is clogged? The pad slides are all there, in pretty good shape. What surprised me was there was no warning. The brakes were fine going to work, 12 miles. Clunk coming from the back, when shifting
04' KJ, 157,000 miles, automatic transmission. Sometimes makes a loud clunk, when it shifts into second gear. Especially if I let off the gas, right after it goes into second gear. Seems to get worse, after driving a few miles... Please tell me it's just a worn U joint. If not what else...- metalmoto

Inner brake pad worn down to metal
What would cause the front inner brake pad to wear down to the metal, while the outer pad is just fine? The slide pins weren't sticking, and the piston goes back into the cylinder, with out much effort. Also what side should the break wear indicator be on? Thanks!- metalmoto

advice on what to check
I noticed mine sometimes makes a clunk when it shifts into second gear.Or if I let off the gas, just after it shifts into second. I am thinking it's a worn U joint. If it gets any worse, I'll guess I'll just have to replace it. Looks like a real pain in the ass!- metalmoto

HOW TO: Change Spark-Plugs
A bent electrode is not a good sign. Unless someone dropped the plug, and installed it with out looking at it first. Was driving my Astro van once, and it stalled on me. Weird noise when car starts in cold weather.
I'm going to replace the whole thing, pump and reservoir. Mine is so loud, my neighbors can hear it inside there houses! And it's hard to steer, unless I warm it up for 5 minutes. This is on my 04'. Hi, Only the cat on the "Y" pipe is new. I never replaced the 2 small ones. In fact, I didn't even know they were there! Until I went to install the "Y" pipe. Thanks! That's just what I expected. Now I'm hoping my exhaust leaks are coming from the muffler, and not from the front pipe! Now, what to do with the month old front pipe? Looks like it will only fit on a "02" and perhaps an "03" KJ. Guess I can sell it cheap to someone who needs it...- metalmoto

OK, I put a brand new exhaust system on my "02" from the "Y" pipe back. The "02" has since dropped a valve, and ruined the engine. So I am trying to reuse some of the "new" parts from my "02" and put them on my new "04". I've found that many, but not all parts, will fit and work on my "04"...- metalmoto

Occasionally, I notice my headlights go out, for a second, when my turn signal lever returns to center, after making a turn. Being that the headlight switch is on the same stalk.
