If all else fails. A really good quality heavy duty double side sticky tape. Use it to attach them to upper side of the opening b/c of the flat surface.
But a second thought with drilling. Have your tried a right angle drill? Or there is also a right angle attachment for standard drills that...
Install a pair of Aux driving lights on the bumper. (example Hella 500ffs w/ 55 watts bulbs). Aim them to cover the area the high beams would cover. Then when needed you can have low beams, fogs and aux covering the high beam area.
However, in most states its illegal to drive with more than 2...
My wife's bumper had few good scratches and the front plate adapter ripped off but that was it. she slid in such away that the whole surface of the bumper made contact the guard rail while going side ways. Saved her from going over the rail and and real damage the jeep.
Good luck to ya...
Welcome to forum.
Have you tried starting the jeep with the transmission in Neutral?
I'm not sure about an immobilizer. My wifes 2002 Liberty hit a Guard Rail a few years back and I think the jeep did shut off from the impact but I did drive it home for her that night. She slid out on black...
Does it still unlock with a wireless fob? If So I wouldn't worry about it IMO. With yours being an 2002 you should have key holes on the gate and passenger door so there is no fear of locking yourself out if the fobs ever fails.
Here is something else you can try your self to get it working...
Not just the flairs but the bumper and grille . there all shaped differently too between 02-04 and 05-07.relocating wires for the fog lights (if you have them) is another thing and pending if you want to use your existing hood you would need a Sport/Limited style grille so the fog lights go into...
Put the Jeep in Neutral and then try to start. Hasn't happen in a long time but once in a blue moon the sensor on the shifter (assuming that's where it's located) wouldn't recognize the Transmission was in Park and wouldn't let me start the Jeep. Putting the transmission into Neutral or...
Plus, what made matters worse for my argument was that the April 2013 issue of consumer reports Magazine talks about the 2014 "Liberty" coming out in the fall. There website also has no mention of the new Cherokee and still speaks of the Liberty.
I personally don't care for consumer reports...
Thanks for the info. I did some further research after i made the post and figured I would have to crimp on some new ends or something.
The dash speakers are the only things left my jeep that are still factory when it concerns the radio.I changed out my back speakers last fall and my front...
My friend and I got into an argument tonight. I told him and my father that the Liberty Replacement is coming out in the fall and there bringing back the Cherokee name. My friend then said how could they bring back the name when there still using it. I go what do you mean?He showed me the pics...
Yea 02's had them.
If you thinks that bad. My wife's 07 compass only has a power lock button and keyhole in the driver door. Keys are just becoming the thing of the past. I honestly don't even know if my key tumbler works in my door. I've never used it.
Same.
However, whats the fear of the jeep rolling off ramps? I have been using ramps for years honestly never chocked my tires. I'm not one for skipping on safety either. The vehicle rolling away never crossed my mind with the rear wheels on the ground locked by the parking gear and E-brake.
Some one chime in if I'm wrong but I think the the front Driver door handle (since you need a handle with a keyhole) is the same size as the tail gate handle. So In theory you should be able to one in place the other Or possibly use parts to repair.
I did the same. However I just change my oil every 6 months (March and September). That goes for both my KJ and my wifes compass. She does put on more mileage than I do but Synth is good for like 10k between changes. and she only does about 4k in a 6 month period.
welcome to the forum.
Umm.. patriot model years begin with 2007. I know this b/c my wifes has a 07 compass and they both came out at about the same time. Are mistaking your Liberty for a patriot?
