new purchase questions

Hello to the board..just purchased a 2005 patriot with 52,000 miles. Car looks well maintained with oil changes every 3000 miles. Is there anything I need to know about the vehicle in reference to service ect. I know it was serviced by a local mechanic and not by a dealer. The only issue I see is a glove box that will not open. According to the owner, he was never able to open it

Welcome to the forum.

I am not that familiar with the Patriot but just keep up with the routine maintenance. I would be real curious about what's in that glovebox though and would get in there one way or another. You can always replace the glove box lock.

welcome to the forum.

Umm.. patriot model years begin with 2007. I know this b/c my wifes has a 07 compass and they both came out at about the same time. Are mistaking your Liberty for a patriot?
