    DuraTracs's vs. Grabber AT2

Yeah, I know that's the right answer. I just don't know when I'll be able to swing another grand for tires. But I guess in the long run whats an extra $200...especially if I'll get a lot more life out of them. I supposed I could buy 4 for now, and then at 4-5000 miles buy the fifth to start...

    DuraTracs's vs. Grabber AT2

So I'm still trying to decide on new tires...narrowed down between DuraTracs or General Grabber AT2s. I had actually "decided" on Duratracs, but then I had to dump $2800 into my engine...so cash is a little tight right now. That being said, winter is upon is and the crap stock wranglers are...

HELP! have searched but cant get a definite answer

I'm getting pretty tired of "users" that come on here to get their one question answered and then complain about the answers they get, or how much they want to get rid of their Liberty....especially ones that think the wrangler is indestructible and so far above the Liberty. I have nothing...

    will these fit

225-75-16 will fit. 245's will probably rub if you're not lifted.

Can't decide if efficient or stupid...

honestly, there's not a lot of good engine performance mods out there that I know of. They sell a lot of "chips" to increase HP, exhaust systems, intakes like you mentions...but none of them do much, especially for the money they charge. re-gearing to 4:10's would probably be the best bang for...

Can't decide if efficient or stupid...

Neither...waste of money. Performance increase will be minimal if any, and you're just going to make yourself more susceptible to water getting into the intake. If you're going to do any kind of air intake mod, do a snorkel induction ram...but you really probably don't even need that. Welcome, btw

    Newbe with a question

are we talking about 4HI or 4LO? 4HI you should be able to transfer to in motion, up to 40mph or so...although I still think it's better to slow down when switching. 4LO, trans must be in neutral, you should be rolling about 2-3mph, and it's one motion through 4HI, N, to 4LO on the t-case...

HELP Please 2003 Jeep Liberty Engine Light Flashing

you need to stop driving it now! flashing check engine light means pull over ASAP and call a tow truck...who knows how much additional damage you've done by now. It could be a number of things, but my recommendation would be to have it towed to a dealer or trusted mechanic for diagnosis.

    Repairing a hole

even with all that I doubt it will look flawless. It's a piece of plastic...order a new one...or may even be able to find one at a salvage yard from a side impacted KJ. Then, if it's a difficult color to find like you said, order the color from NAPA....or do a different color grill. A few...

    Rust on suspension components

don't bother replacing shocks/springs with OEM stuff...if you're going to do it, upgrade it. Do something like OME, Frankenlift, or Ironman. jeepinbyal.com will have everything you need and they're great to deal with. The stock suspension is crap after about 40,000 miles. I was sitting almost...

    Rust on suspension components

yea that sucks...if it were me, I would POR15 everything with surface rust that can be salvaged. Paint right over the rust...and as TJKJ said, replace everything else. time for a new suspension...good excuse to lift it.

    Might be interesting -craigslist Jeep

should be able to get a title. In CT, as long as you have a bill of sale and a vin you can order a replacement title...anytime you move to a new state they give you a new title specific to that state anyway.

What kind of sound systems are you guys running

i like this alot...may be my project next spring/summer...I'm a little concerned about the sound quality of that sub though. Just doesn't seem like there's enough cavity space to have enough volume behind it.

    Rebuild practical?

I can understand not wanting to, or not having the means to invest the money into something with 200K+ on it, but it seems like putting a band-aid on it is basically flushing money down the toilet, a gamble at best...by not doing a complete re-build or engine replacement you are potentially...

    Rebuild practical?

Might want to compare the price of replacing the engine if you can to do it yourself. You can get a remaned engine for probably around $1500. Noticed you're in Norwich, another CT guy. I work in the industrial park in Norwich.
