It's time to get rid of the KJ. And a good bye to some of you for a while.

Sorry to see you go, but gotta do what's best for you. You're definitely one of the members here who's opinion I highly value. Haven't steered me wrong yet. Hope you do check in and we still hear from you guys once in a while.

So, today sucked pretty bad! ...

Yeah, which is what I did. I could see the exit from where it started happening. so I got off the highway and shut it down. It was running for maybe a minute while I got off the highway and into the gas station which was right at the exit. Not like I kept pushing it till it died on the side of...

So, today sucked pretty bad! ...

I was down in VA for the holiday weekend and drove back to CT today (about 650 miles) 30 miles from home my malfunction indicator light starts flashing...ride starts to get rough and I notice that as I decelerate, I'm losing power and can't get it back....so I get off the next exit, which was...

    Suggestions for getting blood out?

Thanks everyone I'll look around for some of those products. I tried oxyclean and cold water with small steam vac thing I have initially. It did alright, definitely looks a lot better than before, but most of the spots just faded and the spots on the floor are still pretty bad. Talked to a local...

    Suggestions for getting blood out?

No I didn't wreck...or murder someone, although it must have looked like it when I was filling up at the gas station with fresh blood all over my clothes hands and face splatter... My dog got bit my another dog tonight and I had to rush her to the vet because she was bleeding everywhere...

Sirius Radio in 2004 Jeep Liberty

In dash hardwired is the only way to go...I wouldn't waste my money on FM modulation. Why pay for satellite to only get FM quality that cuts from radio interference etc. Alpine or similar deck with satellite tuner is way better. Nice install though, it definitely looks better than stuck to...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Is it recommended to use a pump for the front diff or does it just make it easier? Last time I did it I just ran a rubber tube straight up above the engine and poured oil into the tube though a funnel...basically a gravity feed, until it overflowed from the fill hole...seemed to work alright.

    Front driveshaft

yeah seriously, they'll get around $700 out of you to replace the front driveshaft...and it probably takes them all of 15 minutes. $300 to do the same thing yourself...or $80 do just do the head. There's nothing wrong with the rest of the driveshaft, so the choice seems pretty obvious. And...

What did you do to your jeep today?

The only downfall of living in New England....you can't get Yuengling here anywhere! It sucks pretty bad. Although, I do think some of the best craft beers in the country come out of NE, and I used to work right down the street from the Harpoon Brewery and get fresh growlers all the time...

don't want life, but think I need shocks

lol yup..and basically said the same thing haha. I was a little worried about the title too. gotta be really depressed when needing shocks is that one last straw.... How could things in my life get any worse ::goes over that speed bump:: that's it, time to just end it all. :Grenade:

don't want life, but think I need shocks

at 140k miles I can 99.9% guarantee you that the factory springs are not ok. Do the shocks and springs together, you'll be glad you did. Especially in the front, it's a coil over system, so you need to completely disassemble and reassemble the shock/spring...might as well only do that once and...

    Really Disappointed with Hellas

that's actually pretty close to what I did. I have all 4 on the bumper. 2 lights close together on each side. I need to build something better to mount them on though...I really hacked the hell out of the bumper, definitely not my finest work. And I get a lot of shaking from them. I'm...

New Treadwright M/T tread pattern available

these look pretty sweet, and a hell of alot cheaper than duratracs...they claim to be good in the snow, but I wonder.... tempting, but I may still stick with original duratrac plan

    Driving in the snow

I agree. I was driving around last night in the snow through town and on untouched back roads with no problem whatsoever. Even with stock tires I've never spun, slipped or slid in 4wd unless I wanted to. I've been nothing but impressed with how the KJ performs in the snow.

    did sandy hit you hard

and now on top of it, a nor'easter...I really hope everyone at least has heat back, and they're not getting the snow we're getting in CT right now...on a positive note, nothing like back roads, virgin snow, and a KJ :happy107:

    Really Dumb Question

i guess if you had to do it in pieces, I would probably do the front completely, new shocks and coils, and maybe just do coils in the back, then shocks when you can afford it. Just because the front is much more labor intensive than the rear, you'll only want to take it apart and re-assemble...
