just your PVC lines...replace them with braided rubber hoses and generic plastic T's and elbows from the hardware store...You can do the whole project for <$20 and never have to worry about it again.- mmc757

New engine
He might be referring to the wierd oil sludge that builds up around the oil fill cap/PCV valve area sometimes...Havent read anything about this causing any problems though. Any swap would probably require a full drivetrain and electronics swap. That means you would need an entire donor...- mmc757

Crankcase ventilation hose tee junction fail!
I replaced that whole system with generic parts from the local hardware store... Nice rubber hose instead of the brittle plastic garbage, sturdier fittings, generic hose clamps. No problem at all doing this, just make sure it all sticks together tight. You dont want unfiltered air getting...- mmc757

Oil change-how often?
Everyone has their own thoughts about this that will run the gamut from every 3k (mi) to every 12k. No squirty squirty
05 limited Wiper fluid failure. Doesnt go to rear or front. When we bought the vehicle, fluid to the rear was very weak...basically just dribbled down the window a little but the front worked normally. Popping and Creeking in the Rear
Any polyurethane bushings? Its something you would have had to install yourself. Its a much harder material than factory rubber.- mmc757

Broke some PCV stuff.
I replaced all those hoses and fittings with some nice reinforced rubber hose and plastic fittings from the hardware store...I hate that brittle OEM stuff. Probably cost me less than $10 to redo the whole system in materials that will never fail again.- mmc757

U Joint lessons learned
Replaced my front U joint on the prop shaft yesterday. Never done this job before so I learned a lot... -Dont try to do it in place. Just take off the shaft and do it on the bench. I wasted quite a bit of time trying to avoid taking it out. -The bench vice is solid gold for this job...- mmc757

Troubleshooting squeaky noise
Found lots of rust on the rotors, banged that off best I could. Found the forward U-joint on the prop shaft is broken...fixing that this afternoon. When I turn the wheels by hand, the rear P side makes a little grinding noise...not sure if its rust from the rotors moving around in there, or...- mmc757

Dont think I'm losing fluid, I think I just didnt add enough to begin with when I did the initial change. Once its moving, its fine. Shifts smoothly, all is well. Sometimes when coming to a stop though, it doesnt seem to want to shift from neutral into go. So we step on the gas and dont move...- mmc757

Update: I ended up adding another quart of ATF and that seemed to fix it up for a few months, but the problem has returned and seems to be getting worse. I'm going to get off my A__ and redo the oil change again and get the new filter installed...Hope it works, I'd rather not have to replace...- mmc757
