Rattle at start up
It really was a poor quality video. I took it with a crappy digital camera. The video doesn't do the noise justice. It really doesn't. Since the work was done at a Jeep dealer, it's got mopar oil and a mopar filter on it. I have no idea what weight oil they used.- ShafferNY

Rattle at start up
Just for your entertainment, last night I went out and had my girlfriend start the Jeep up after it had sat for about 4-6 hours. You can barely hear the rattle about five or six seconds into this video. It goes away shortly there after. Sorry for the poor quality.- ShafferNY

Advance Auto doesn't take it here, and neither does NAPA. Two of the local garages here in town won't touch it either. I contacted the NYS DEC and they couldn't even give me a good answer. This was the response I received... The nearest place who MIGHT accept it is over an hour away.- ShafferNY

My '03 makes no noise what-so-ever and it has twice the milage, 84,000mi. My sister's '03 has over 100k on it and makes no noise either. If you start up the engine cold, it makes the rattle noise. After approximately 30 seconds it's gone. If you shut the engine off and start it back up, it doesn't do it. I believe the work they did on it had a 12 month, 12k mile warranty on it. If not, our aftermarket warranty should take care of it. Just curious.
