Most true off roaders wish to run larger diameter tires to increase their minimum ground clearance. Most boulevard cruisers on the other hand do it primarily for looks. Honestly, I do it for a combination of both.
I'm still all over the place when it comes to tires. Been considering 30/9.5R15's and a set of aftermarket steel rims. Anyone currently running this combination and if so what wheel are you running them on. From all the reading I've done sounds like 15x7 rims with 4-4.25" of back spacing and...
Thought it might have something to do with the laptop or PC I'm using at the time. Normally works, but every now and then it just comes up as a blank dialog box with no text to edit. I'll try a hard refresh next time around. Thanks.
Thanks for the input Kyle. Leaning towards the 245/75R16's at this point. Might purchase one tire to test fitment after I install the JBA top plate, JBA 3/8" clevis spacer and an additional Mopar upper rear isolator. I'll test it lock to lock fully extended, static and compressed and...
What's the part number for the EVIC? That should tell you the year. Personally, I'd consider trying a different sensor. The very "tight fit" would also make me want to check that no pins were bent over in the sensor as well.
I have an 02 with what I believe is an 02 EVIC that I just...
Don't write off the H&R 4 coil 1.5"(approx. 2") lift.
Only a few hundred miles on my H&R Springs, but I'm loving them. If you don't feel you need a full 3" lift I'd seriously consider them. The springs alone will put you at around 20.5" front and 21.0" rear. I'm going to add a JBA top...
Appreciate your input. Yeah, 21-21.5" was all I was ever looking for. Definitely can find some good deals on the 55's. Obviously, not as popular as the 45/75's.
Planning to stick with stock wheels. The 255/70R16's are pretty much the exact diameter I'd like to run, but sounds like the width is going to be a problem. I have no problem flattening out the pinch weld, but don't want to get into hacking up the fender flares.
Normally I prefer taller over wider if I have to choose. Will be at 21.25-21.5 all the way around with the pinch welds flattened out. Stock steel or aluminum rims.
Appreciate your thoughts and suggestions.
1) Installed a EVIC in my 2002. Prefer to solder and heat shrink, but used Dorman 86421 Splice Terminal under the dash. They worked great especially connecting to the Data Link Connector due to the limited space. Also allowed me to temporarily connect the EVIC while sitting on the passenger's...
I haven't stepped foot in a Walmart for at least 2 years now and really don't care to ever again. After they bankrupt Rubbermaid I do my best to avoid ever doing business with them. The final straw though was when I went to buy an electric razor one day. It was on sale online for $49 or $59...
I've always been a big fan of studded snow tires. Nothing beats them on ice, especial that overnight refreeze. Used to run them on my front wheel drive Saab 9.3's and I repeatedly drove by numerous 4x4's stuck on the side of the road. I literally drove through the middle of a blizzard one...
I really like the looks of the Authority's and I won't lie that is important to me as well as the performance. Also, like the Duratracs and the Cooper Maxx Mud's. Honesty I don't know what I'll end up with. The Grabber's actually exceeded my expectations and I primarily went with them over...
