I just replaced mine on a 2010 Jeep Liberty. It was screwed into the manifold on the drivers side rear of engine. I also had to order mine. 3.7 cu. in.
I have a 2010 Jeep Liberty with a 3.7 and automatic tranny. When I put the Libby in park and turn off the Libby, remove the key my steering wheel never locks in place. Is this normal? It has been this way since I bought it.
I ran my wires thru the rubber tube that had the factory wiring and then under the inside weatherstripping to the brake light assembly. From there I connected the wire for the power on the backup camera to the backup light.
I have never seen one like this. It is clipped to a adapter that screws into the block. Then the pipe runs across the back of the engine to the intake plenum.
I have a 2010 Liberty with the 3.7 engine.
For the last year I have searched on the internet for the location of the PCV valve. Yesterday I headed out to 4 different auto stores who stated they had to order the PCV valve and didn't know where the location of the part on the engine!:emotions34...
I just had a new torque converter installed and the tranny serviced with filter and oil. I was there watching and they use RTV sealant on the pan. I asked he service guy about that and he said that's what the 42rle requires from the factory. No leaks here Billet machine torque converter works great.
I looked at that web site and those torque converters were for deisel engines. They run at lower rpm's and higher torque. I don't think they would work in a gasoline application.
Yes tommudd I will try that.
Here in NE Pa we have hills everywhere you go and my tranny is always going from OD to downshifting. I watch the rpm gauge up and down quite frequently. Must be my heavy foot! LOL
I agree TOMMUDD and TWOBOBSKL! Both those routes are a great ride. Tried just about every one going back and forth from Florida to Pa.
RENEGADE 04 that torque converter is alot of money! I was quoted $150 from my friend at the tranny shop for the HD torque converter. I known him for a long time...
Most of the hills I encounter are when I reach West Virginia on up into Pa. Some very steep and I do go in and out of overdrive quite often.
I have 82,000 miles on the Libby.
I had my tranny fluid and filter changed today on my 2010 Libby with the 42RLE tranny. The fluid was kind of brown but not burnt. I was having it done as a regular maintenance on it. I had no trouble with it at all. The mechanic told me that the torque converter is coming in and out of lockup...
Had the tires on for about 2 weeks now and boy what a difference from last year!! This Libby will go everywhere I want it to go!!! Money well spent and I should have done it last year with all that snow we had.
My neighbor has a long inclined driveway and last year I was stuck there for 2 days...
Wish they made some like that now Tommudd!
Now we have all the electronic controls to contend with.. Makes them safer and better emissions but what a pain...
Not 4wd so I don't know if that would make a difference? Tires that were on the truck are more than half tread but really bad for rear wheel drive traction! Last year I spent most of the winter at home... LOL
