So the question is do I find a frame and cut out a section with the trailing arm brackets to swap in or just add bracing scabbed on and then cut out the factory trailing brackets to weld in some new tabs. 3rd option does anyone make replacements like I see everywhere for yhe TJ jeeps?
Does anyone know the weld on or bolt on part number for replacing the rusted out frame around the trailing arm / lower rear control arm connection? My passenger side rusted out on a trail and we had to limp to a shop and weld some flat plate to get her home. Ended up alittle out of square with...
Had a fun trail weekend with the Liberty and found out I had the smallest cooling package possible and that I need to clean her up before bed after hitting the mud. On day two, dirty sand and mud from day 1 ruined the tensioner pulley and the only factory electric fan I had. After allot of...
Follow up- finally I just ordered a set of plastic covers with integrated gaskets and it’s done. Online for $80. The factory style gasket is terrible or my stock metal covers had been wrapped so the new set has a groove the gasket fits into on the cover side then only flat seals to the head.
Sorry for ending this short. I finally decided to swap injectors from the eBay rando set to original remans and doing that plus finding the plastic fuel line as it connects to the fuel rail was loose I resolved this issue. Drove for the summer and winter 2023 until last week when we went trail...
Of all the things I’ve done well with this liberty in a year it’s the valve covers I just can’t win. Head gaskets so far so good, lift good but these damn valve covers haunt me. What am I missing? Passenger side I’m on gasket 2 and it was dry for a few months now is leaking again in the back...
Finally a thank you to the forum and everyone that pitched in with tips and tricks to get my dads 04 kj road worthy, lifted and to the trails of Colorado. What was a 3-4 month winter project turned into 7 months and allot of new parts, some good ones and some that caused more issues and codes...
No worries- another update. Total we have 800 miles since the head gaskets and about 200 miles since sorting out the injectors and rich condition. It was either the injectors or that hose fearing the fuel rail and a loose hose clamp. She made a tailgate event and Now I’m packing it for Colorado...
finally a positive post!!! We have correct fuel trim I repeat we have correct fuel trim. Can’t believe new injectors would be junk but they where. New/reman mopar injectors are in and just did 50 miles with the code reader showing short term fuel trims all over 0 , -2 +3 back to 0 etc. long term...
on the eve or these new injectors coming Thursday and so far loosing my optimism anyone have thoughts on the eval purge valve? Would it or a vacuum leak near it cause a rich condition? Ive checked the hoses but I’ll be inspecting it and the hose again tonight.
Got home and jumped in it. Waiting on the mail now for mopar injectors. These are the coil packs I’m running they say mopar. Old/new injectors are yoopa brand I should have known better really.
