I have the seals and bearings sitting in the basement, along with a limited slip differential for the front diff… I need a running Jeep right now so I think the option is to grab a used front diff from LKQ and upgrade it. Looks like I did something to the axle seal when I removed the CV and intermediate shaft the other day when I was replacing the suspension. I noticed some oil on the fender liner, which led me to discover this. Thoughts?- lfhoward

Wow that rubbing! I would NOT take a grinder to your JBA arms, as it would weaken them perhaps fatally and you would lose your lifetime warranty. Probably wheel spacers or wheels with more offset are a better option. What do you need, a quarter or half an inch of room? What tire size is that...- lfhoward

Best practice for buying parts?
If it were me I would find a low mileage junkyard 3.7 and grab a power steering pump from that. I have found that used Mopar lasts longer and works better than brand new aftermarket for most things. Still waiting on that clevis bolt to arrive to be able to reassemble the front suspension. It was last tracked at the USPS distribution center in Jersey City 6 days ago. Then it went off grid. Hopefully it turns up somewhere soon. Any guesses? I think it is now on the west coast someplace.- lfhoward

I have JScan and it can turn the TPMS system off completely so the light never comes on. You can also reset different modules and read data directly from them. It is super helpful on both my 08KK and my 07XK.- lfhoward

A special Jeep liberty to me
I believe 2007 and 2008 are compatible with each other. The 07 KJ has all the same electronics as the first KK year in 2008. I am on my second engine and this is what I remember. Granted, it was 11 years ago so my memory isn’t what it used to be…- lfhoward

One of the issues to repair from the lift failure incident is the CV boot on the drivers side. It got shredded by the springs exiting the chat.
